OK LADS! Time to get it started! Kickoff is 9am Central on Saturday at Tranmere Rovers. Near as I can tell, it's e-Season Ticket only (haven't checked other internet broadcasts).

Can wait to see some of the Kids. YNWA.
 
Yaaa, we beat the Wirral washouts. (kidding, I like the rovers)

Kids looked good. Degan was bombing all over the pitch and Pacheco looked good for his age.

Plessis was like watching a Sessoko double - both good and bad.

Great to see Agger back in and Skretl has a few more tattoos and looks mean as ****
 
all this crying foul by the spurs brass is just an attempt to save face by getting supporters to point fingers at other clubs instead of themselves over the exit of their best players

i do agree though that fergie and manU are a little hypocritical and two-faced when looking at the ronaldo and berbatov situations
 
Actually it seems the figure is £19 mil + £1.3 mil in add ons.
If he was going to go, then damn, we might as well get £20 mil for him!!!
 
dirty scousers, however it's a win-win, you got your man and we got 40 percent more than we should have.

I can't hate him however. Enjoy our boy.
 
I can't really hate Keano either. I just wish he had kept his mouth shut back in May when he of his own accord announced his love for Spurs and stated he wanted to finish his career there. Putting aside who it is, it goes to show you how the sport has changed. Not a lot of loyalty out there nowadays. You don't get many Paul Scholes/Ryan Giggs players anymore. Sad really.

Still, as Hornin' said, we get a lot of £££ and you get Keane. Fair deal. As I mentioned before, it's going to be interesting to see how you play him this season.

Several online reports are now claiming that we've finally agreed to a fee for Barry.

Apparently it's £17.5 plus Finnan. Now hopefully we'll be able to sell enough (Voronin, Pennant, Xabi) to afford Silva.
 
that's pretty expensive after Villa originally put a £18M price tag on Barry. I'd rate Finnan more than £500k and wouldn't price Barry at £19M+.

this morning it was confirmed that barry was staying at villa. if the insider report about including finnan is true, the RB situation would certainly get interesting.

Degen - injured and will miss first few games
Arbeloa - transfer rumors to La Liga
Darby - young and inexperienced

I guess you've always got Carra to hold down the right side if need be, but that thins out the depth in center defense.
