Lamarr Houston Arrested on DWI

Talking on a cellphone while driving has been shown to be equivalent, if not worse, to driving with a .08 BAC level.

Let's be consistent here, fellas.

To be consistent, should we require people be 21 in order to buy a cellphone or use it too? I know, they cannot buy minutes after midnight or before noon on Sundays. They have to prepare ahead of time. Further, you cannot let a minor use your phone or buy them one. If you are a parent your kids can use yours in a restaurant or at home.
 
One thing that could be tried is responsible moderation, esp. if one is a high profile person such as a starting D player for the Texas Longhorns. Maybe that could work too.
 
i went to a MADD drunk driving panel a couple of months ago. two stories were told. pretty sad stuff. BUT they didnt try to convince everyone in the room not to drink. even in the awareness class. both of them say

"we're not telling you not to drink, just don't drink and drive" i thought MADD was way more hardcore than to say that. but ohh well. one story was a lake travis kid killed back in 99 i think. other was APD daughter killed over on 2222 some years back i believe. tough stories to tell.
 
Well say what you want but we have all done stupid bs. There are just those who get caught and those who don't. Ive drilled into my sons head about drinking and driving and all it took was some girl to call and say come over and guess what happens,...
 
The cell-phone analogy posts are apt. This was a stupid move by a teenager. He should be punished, as should the whole team to a lesser degree. Internal discipline is greatly facilitated by shared responsibility. 3 games for LH and about 2 extra pukes from running for everybody else sounds about right to me.
 
thank the MADD group for all of this ****,besides look at the money the city is getting,it's only going to get worse.

Oh yes im sure the MADD group was at the party pouring beers down him and handing him the car keys.. Yes im sure thats how it went down and was no fault of his own. And of course they were the cause of him getting in the accident as well..
