L O S T: Season 4 Finale

I can't wait to see more of Ekko. I got chills at the end of the chess scene with Hurley. I wonder why fatboy can see more ghosts than the others. Kate sees Claire, Jack sees Christian, Sayid? Sun?

Sun doesn't see Jin simply because he's not dead.

I'm torn about the issue of Jin's death. Prior to the finale I was sure he was dead, now based off of what they showed, I am less sure. We saw him on the deck prior to the explosion... but that is it. I think if they were really killing him they would have played more on Jin, than necessarily on Sun's reaction. I dunno, but even as far as Lost death's go, Jin's "passing" was more than a little up in the air... so to speak.

C'mon that was Dallas finale 101. He's alive and well.

Take a big breath, dive deep and he avoids the worst part of that explosion, which is flying shrapnel.

You might be right, seeing as we've seen people get shot to death and then show back up so who knows, maybe the little boat that Faraday was on picked him up out of the water

I thought in one of the flash-forwards this season they showed Jin alive, trying to get a big stuffed panda bear to what the audience was led to believe was Sun giving birth (turning out to be some ambassador's daughter). Am I missing something?

I also think Jin is alive, and his story will pick up with Faraday and the five nameless survivors out on the boat. If nothing else, I think Jin dying takes too much away from Michael's redemption/sacrifice and I don't think the writers would go down that route.

I wouldn't be surprised if Jin being alive is the big "ohh ****" moment of Sun centered episode of next year, probably right after she and Widmore start to really work together against Jack and Ben and their effort to go back.

I DVR'd it and went back and looked at the ship when it exploded. I did not see Jin (or anyone else for that matter) on the deck when it was going off. He probably went in the water and was picked up by Faraday (or maybe he's a really good swimmer like Sawyer and swam in to the island).

I don't think Ben gives a damn whether the 6 get back to the island or not. i think he is using Jack to help him find Desmond, which leads to Penny, so he can kill her.

Don't forget that we've seen THIS GUY off the island too.The Link

Those from Ben's group seem to know how to get on and off at will. I'm sure that we're in for a bunch of surprises.

my theory is, sun actually knows jin is alive despite going with hurley to visit his gravesite. this occurs after sayid bounced him out of the psych ward and hurley knows full well the plan, as do the other oceanic six.

however, he is badly marred by the crash as well as the magnetic force from the island moving event.

the plan is to use locke's brain, which was removed by the hanso foundation (did you notice the scar along his forehead?) and implant it into jin's body, which is still functional despite losing most of his mental faculty to magnetic mind erasing. additionally, each of the oceanic 6, including aaron, will have to offer up pieces of themselves to the super soldier as well.

this will allow them to bypass ben's warning that they all must return to the island.

So, watching the "alternate endings", I have to assume that these must be decoys. Strikes me that having Locke in the coffin is an essential aspect of the story.

Otherwise, it is an interesting idea that Ben is just using Jack to get to Penny via Desmond (if he is able to convince Jack that they need to recruit Desmond to return to the island). That being said, while Ben is frequently duplicitous and works almost entirely in his own self-interest, he doesn't generally seem to lie.
