L O S T 5/1

Why is it only Jack and Hurley are having these "visitors"? At least so far, we haven't seen Kate, Sayid or Sun having hallucinations. Anyone wonder this too?

The most important part of last night is that Kate ended the debate about who the hottest woman on the Island is. Nothing sexier than a woman wearing one of your dress shirts.

i disagree. While it is a theory, it explains everything that has happened on and off the island (except how Ben controls the smoke monster).

Why people can't die
Why there are ghosts that are real
etc...

Another small thing we learned was that Sawyer chose no to leave the island and Jack chose to leave in order to save Kate.

The flash forward was definitely before Jack's breakdown and was actually the start of it. Even in the beginning, Kate tells Jack she bought him a new razor and they show Jack looking at it as the director's way to say that from that point on Jack is about to become the pill popping, drunk, crazy, bearded man who has to go back to the island.

Sounds like someone got a brain-cramp halfway through the timelooptheory site. That did a lot to explain everything.

Most plausible theory I have seen to date.

Man, some of you really need to go back and rewatch some of the previous episodes.

The dude that says "I've been dead for 12 years" is not Jacob, it's Ben's father, Roger Linus.

Claire and Jack are half-siblings - they have the same dad.

And Miles might have been able to see Dr. Shepard because he does have some form of ESP.

Almost every one of the Losties has had some kind of a vision of a person who's not really there.

that link explains "everything" much like intelligent design explains science. if you can't find a good explanation just make up something. there may be some parts of it that are accurate, but much of it is out of left field speculation. like a lot of the other theories out there that explain "everything."

one of my coworkers is a big fan of this theory.

people have been throwing around the jacob is shepard theory since the first time we got a glimpse of him over a year ago.

I suspect you'll find it is very hard to find a truly novel theory at this point. Regardless, if it is true, then I alone "win".

So Claire is supposed to be the only one that raises Aaron, or really bad things will happen. Yet, Claire isn't one of the ones that make it off the island. So, Kate is raising Aaron.

So, really bad things are definately going to happen. Cool!

Also, it looks like Claire and Jin are the two that die in escaping the island. Neither would leave Aaron or Jin's wife for any reason short of death.

Remember, we don't actually know that two people die. That's just the story that the survivors who escaped told people. It would make sense for it to be referring to Claire (baby's mother, born on island) and Jin (fathered Sun's baby on the island) to deal with obvious problems. That's no proof that they're actually dead, though. I still think that the others decide to stay on the island for one reason or another and the Oceanic 6 are protecting them (or think they are).

Actually, it is fairly likely that Claire is NOT one of the two that survive the crash in the Oceanic 6 story. Remember, Kate is passing Aaron of as her own. There is no way fugitive Kate retains custody of a child which isn't hers, aquital or no.

I looked up the scene from the "future" where Sun visits Jin's grave. Apparently, the tombstone indicates he dies the day of the crash. That makes it seem much less likely that he is one of the "two" as well.

That leaves Michael, Walt, Boone, Shannon, Bernard, Rose, Sawyer and Locke (assuming all 8 are people we know). Since Michael is already on the boat, I would say he is the most likely of all of them to be one of the 2. Walt is alive at home with grandma, so I doubt he would be counted one way or the other. Boone/Shannon and Rose/Bernard don't seem likely. That leaves Sawyer and Locke. Both of them would have reasons to want to be "dead" in the real world, but I don't think the survivers would be likely to cover for Locke. So if I had to guess the "2" are Michael and Sawyer. Who knows, maybe they'll end up being Niki and Paulo.

Mia, I'm foiled again. I really only wanted to point out that we can't be sure that the two they are claiming died are actually dead.

Ben is the only person I can think of that could be in the coffin, unless it's someone else that got off the island, or someone we haven't met yet. Of the four (that aren't Jack or Kate), Sayid, Hurley, Sun and Aaron, Kate said she didn't know the person was dead, but that she wouldn't have gone to the service if she had.

Any of those four, I think she certainly would. In that scene at the end of last season, Kate also said "he'll be waiting for me" or something like that. I think she meant Aaron.
