Kudos to Texas Anti-Abortion Protests

The far right gives you militias and religious extremists. Tim McVeigh wasn't a lib. Abortion clinic bombers aren't libs.

Do you think Dems condone using biohazards for protest? Again, that's a conceit as I described above.

Don't break your arm patting yourself on the back for belonging to so pure a political part of the spectrum.

Arguing with liberals is a waste of time because they have no common sense.

The original point was about the left hiding their crazy wingnuts as though the right doesn't have them. They do. Thus my post.

Deez,

In fact, you paint the whole of whatever you consider "libs" to be with the link to the urine and feces article. Nice way to keep it classy yourself.

Dillo,

Shattering observation.

BI! You're back! You disappeared from this discussion. We were wondering if you were ever going to answer that question on the other abortion bill thread. You remember? Your linked article arguing that a baby doesn't have a right to live/no one invited that fetus into the woman's uterus/and that those fetuses "enslaved" those women...remember that one?

You never answered whether or not you believed a child in the womb "enslaves" a woman. Here's a convenient link to your post:

BI's post about a child "enslaving" a woman.

BI will never answer. I just don't understand why, considering abortions are legal in Texas, you would have to take more than 20 weeks to decide you want one? Through amniocentesis you can find out much earlier if there are problems with the pregnancy. What reasons would make you need to wait to decide? I seriously want to hear from the fervent choicers on this.

I think it is fair to say that those who were in Austin protesting or supporting represent the most militant of both sides of the issue. The real question is whether or not this legislation is an overreach or satisfying a real need for additional regulation / protection. Both extremes will make their case and we shall see how it resonates with the more moderate voters in future elections.

My disdain for the tactic is implicit in my responses just as your indirect reference to McVeigh and abortion clinic bombers are. I got the message you didn't like those things, should I have held out for something more definitive? Are you doing so because of the placement of your metaphorical shoe?

Vol4life,

You're projecting. I've never expressed pride in my political choices. The best I've said about voting Dem is that I hold my nose to do it and think it is the best of a bad set choices.

Pay attention and your accusations and conclusions won't be so absurd.

RV, nah it's not close following, just reading and you're posts are part of that just like everyone else here.

RV, if you really want to escalate beyond common sense to the absurd regarding the behavior of one side versus the other...then i'll one up your clinic bombers with Dr Gosnell from Philly.

And the name Gosnell is relevant to this bill. Abortion supporters, liberals for the most part, say there's no reason to have the same saftey standards for comparable surgical procedures...that Texas doesn't have this problem. I'm sure those same liberals felt the same way about subprime mortgages that helped working families buy homes during the time of irrational exuberabce before the crisis.
