KG in the League of Clutch?

Wrong again. You've lost all credibility by making up stats.

First of all, their glory years werent "the last 4 years." They didnt even make the playoffs the last 3. If you want to look at a few years before that, when the Mavs "usually" won...

Dallas owned the Wolves in 01-02 (5-1), including the playoffs (KG averaged about 24-19-5).

02-03 Series tied 2-2, KG averages about 28-15-6
03-04 Series tied 2-2, KG averages about 30-18-6
04-05 Series tide 2-2, KG averages about 25-13.5-7

Yes, they seem really capable of stopping him, and you're right, KG sure does have a record of success against the Mavs.

20-24 and 10-12? All losses? Please. Take that crap somewhere else. That may be true for the last two years KG was in MN, but the team was absolute garbage. Everybody beat them.

Apparently you didn't look at the numbers....and again, you make **** up (it's actually 19-13 over the past 9 years). Give it up dude. I already conceded the playoff year...you're a homer who is upset that Dirk doesn't get as much love from the national media...plain and simple.

Kevin Garnett had a really strong game last night with 32 points 10 rebounds and 3 assists.
ESPN said this was the 8th time that KG has gone for 30 and double digit rebounds in his playoff career.

I was curious and thought that was pretty impressive until I found out that Dirk had 15 games of 30 points and double digit rebounds his first three years in the playoffs 2001-2003.

Fridays game was the 25th time overall he has gone for at least 30 points and 10 boards in the playoffs.

For the last time, Im not saying that KG sucks or that he isn't a very good player.

All im saying is that his playoff record is poor because he really isn't a very dominating player. Only eight games of at least 30 and 10 and he's been playing in the post season since the 90's????

That stat is pretty much a snapshot of all the arguments Ive made on this thread.....especially when compared to a similar superstar such as Dirk.

The media overates him in trying to put him in the same category as Kobe, Lebron, Shaq or Tim Duncan.

Despite taking a bunch of (well deserved) crap over a poor 1st round series last year, Dirk Nowitski has completley outperformed Kevin Garnett in the playofs.

To the poster that said Im pissed because KG gets more props than Dirk.....you are absolutley correct. I posted something very similar in comparing their playoff careers way back in 2002 after the Mavs swept the Timberwolves.

Out of curiosity, how many playoff games have KG and Dirk played? It makes a difference, if Dirk has played in twice the number of games in his 3 years, your stat becomes a little less impressive.

Still at it I see...

The bottom line is that the majority of NBA GMs would probably choose to start a franchise around KG in his prime before Dirk. Maybe you should voice your discontent to them.

In the meantime, I'm still waiting for Dirk's stats vs. the Wolves w/ KG (and yes, KG does guard Dirk). You can seperate the regular season and the playoff series (which I'll concede yet again, only to have you bring it up again). I also noticed that you disregard supporting cast completely...interesting.

Well, I mentioned this before...Duncan was in a better off situation from day 1 by being drafted to a playoff team. Even so, yes, he definitely has the edge on KG when you throw in the rings. His cast has always been much better, but I know some of that is probably because of him. I wouldn't say he owns KG though, and it's well known that KG is one of the few people in the league that can guard him.

Head to head looks pretty even:
KG: 21.2, 11.6, 4.6
TD: 20.6, 12.1, 3.4
