Kansas vs Texas series

Boehm says enough with the rest of you guys, I’m just going to k this ************ and end the inning myself. Horns lead 8-5 at the stretch.

When Chop reaches max frustration during a game, he stops doing play-by-play, climbs onto the roof of his house, and contemplates the universe :smile1:

About the time I start to believe this team is putting it all together at the right time, it’s here we go again it seems. Nothing is easy with this group.

35-20. I count 5-6 WTF losses. Team could easily be 40-15 and regional host. Add a few more conference sweeps, then #1 in conference and top 8 seed. It is what it is.

And Gasparino gets a workout in the field to put this one away for the Horns!

9-7 Victory

with drama.

Zeke and Zonk getting a little emotional here for their final LHN broadcast, hope they can keep doing Longhorn games together on the SEC Network

The series loss to BYU in Austin was particularly damaging. Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Cincy all found a way to not just beat the Mormons, but sweep them.

What an exciting weekend series at DFF to end the last Big 12 regular season! I have season tix but this is the 1st series where I could go to all 3 games and Horns did not disappoint. We needed a sweep to balance the books on that BYU series loss, and we got it. I know some of you guys think we should win every game by 10, but I am gruntled.

I’m gruntled. Once again, a Pierce team is peaking at the end of the season.

I’m trying to figure out Hurley. Has he improved on one of his pitches? Added a new pitch? Mastered control of his mean breaking ball? If he’s throwing like this in the playoffs, it could be a game changer.

Also, the “old” LBJ seems to have re-arrived the last 2 weeks of the season. Another game changer. He was supposed to be our ace and an All-American.

Jack — well at least he hasn’t sucked lately. I don’t know if he can repeat last years playoff performance.

Looks like Okie State is about to finish the sweep of the double header in Houston. Texas played two more games than Okie State winning one and losing one but if the Big XII site is correct OSU is going to be two seed, not the Horns who have the tie-breaker with the series win. Seems wrong to me but in a season where the Horns have farted around way too much, ending up the third in a down Big XII is just one more sign that Texas did not live up to its potential. Still have a chance to save the season these next few weeks so its is truly prove it time.

Dude that horse was out of the barn weeks ago. Let it go. There aint no Santy Claus and u aint 12 YOA. See if u can enjoy what this team is and stop crying about what its not. Sorry for going all preachy on u.

The seeding is based on conference winning percentages, and if Okie State wins the second game of their double-header they'll have a higher winning percentage than us. Would have been nice to get the first-round bye in the tourney, but I guess it wasn't meant to be.

Speaking of next year....

Watching the seniors being honored today at the game, I was trying to figure out who we would have next year, IF THEY STAY.

I had Belyeu, Borba, Gasparino and Galvan in the field. Thought Thomas and Flores would move on to the show?

Pitching i had Ace, Grubbs, Boehm, Tumis and Hamilton.

Pierce has a lot of holes to fill for next year. This year isn't over and the portal can change alot but it's looking bleak.
