Joe Biden Accomplishment Thread

I would like to see colleges required to disclose job prospects and average salaries for graduates of each degree program up front. Let the free market work.
Entering freshmen would STILL ignore it just as they do the required student loan educational sessions.

The information is already plentiful online and yet the internet generation STILL won't take the time to spend an hour looking at the information before wasting money on Icelandic Afro-Lesbian Gender Dance Studies...

This for sure. These people are more concerned about being an activist and making their mark on the world than EARNINIG a living in a value added career.

I always think of a friend of mine who has a married son, both college graduates, and both who live in her basement having interest in nothing but collecting their covid unemployment and playing computer games all day than getting real job. If they were hand cuffed and dragged to a real job they wouldn't work.

Yes, they are total dumb-asses.
Anybody with half a brain knows Icelandic Afro-Lesbian Gender Literature Studies is where the power career and big money is.

You are right. I forgot who I was dealing with.

They should do that, but what kids really need is for the adults to be honest and mature with them. They need a lot more "let's look at how the numbers add up" and a lot less "follow your dreams." And of course, they need the political class to value their interests over the interests of academia. The racket needs to end.

My feeling is two-fold:

1) What about the families who saved and paid for their kids out of their own pockets?
2) What about the many young people who passed on college because they did not have family resources or did not want to take on the debt?

These have probably been mentioned but I thought I'd get it out there.

and we need to quit romanticizing about the "college experience" as though our drinking, sleeping til noon and semi-casual sex somehow made us more whole. No doubt that stuff was fun but it didn't really "broaden my horizons".

I was living that life in my 30s when I owned my bar. Good times. lol

Agree, and I have to rip on my own sex for this. A lot of dudes view their college days of acting like jackasses as though they were the prime years because they partied hard and banged hot chicks. I get the appeal, but a man who thinks that made him whole or broadened his horizons is a pretty small and shallow man.

Completely different situation. College ******* who binge-drank Keystone and banged a lot of (though probably pleasured very few) girls were being jackasses who lived for themselves. You ran a bar. You had a good time, but it was in the context of serving society with a business that provided booze to the public. That's borderline charitable.

Charitable and banging hot girls. Doesn't get better than that! :smokin:

Best comment I have seen came the other day...Biden has shown the voters WHY they should never again vote for progressive spend-tards. Biden has shown us how that philosophy will destroy a nation faster than a plague of locusts.

Let's go Brandon! Oh wait . . .

About $7.83 per gallon.
But how much of that is taxes? I've read many times that the taxes over there are absolutely insane and accounted for a big chunk of the cost per gallon (once price-adjusted to be gallon-equivalent).
