But the bowl game isn't actually part of the season.
So then Charlie didn't have a losing season his first year here. We were 6-6, and all the listings of us as 6-7 are false! Sweet!
Did I miss something again? What happened to Boyd?
I've not always been a college fan, so I once asked an older Texas alum why Royal was 8-7-1 in bowl games
I thought it was because, although a top 5 national title type coach when he was here, his bowl record was basically .500 because they weren't relevant to the rankings so it was a gift for the players...So what was Texas' record in Charlie Strong's first season at Texas?
Because they generally match teams with an approximately equal opponent.
Charlie was 6-6 and lost the Texas Bowl to Arkansas 31-7. Are we predicting a repeat? So what was Texas' record in Charlie Strong's first season at Texas?

And that is a bad thing why?I understand what you are saying but it could trickle down to sophomores that are elite players. The entire bowl system could be in question other than the playoffs. Just going with a possible extreme logical progression on this.
I wonder how many of these early exits are getting hot air blown up their a- - by agents. I have thought all year that Elliott played well but some of those interceptions came pretty easy. He did know what to do on the runbacks. The NFL has to be a little weary of Hill, depending on his reason for the suspension, and I appreciate Jefferson’s progress, but wonder where he will fit in the NFL defenses. His decisions in the middle have not always been good. From IT on Elliott's NFL prospects
"Another Texas-Ex, DeShon Elliott is beginning his training for the NFL Draft. Two sources told us that after watching every play from 2017, they don't feel strongly about Elliott's pro prospects. We were told the earliest Elliott might expect to go would be the 5th-6th round. Two scouts have flat out said he's making a mistake. He has a chance to put up some good combine numbers at the Texas Pro Day in March, but the combine-setting isn't where DeShon excels. He's never been a 4.4-4.5 guy, or a 4.0-4.1 shuttle player. His coverage skills have come into question and scouts have noticed that he benefited greatly from players around him and much simpler duties than he'd have in the NFL."

If these three drop to the 6th round it will bet a costly decision. And I won’t care.
If they drop into the 6th round I would suggest Tom hire a guy to help evaluate this crap so players have another opinion where they might land. They might still declare, but over time if Tom's guy is more accurate than slimy agents just trying to make a buck then players not ready might listen and stay to improve their stock value.

Any confirmation on Malik? I haven't heard anything recently.
Man I hope that is true. Especially since I just bit the bullet and bought tickets after saying I was done for the year.

Sorry just put the two together after the question was asked about record and subsequent bowl. You quoted two parts of my post that were unrelated....
... bought tickets after saying I was done for the year.
Or there is a doctor there with a link to a particular team and that could offer up an 'unofficial' medical report to said team...Not good if he couldn’t get local or nearby treatment. Don’t toes take several weeks to heal?
