It's coming...and I can't wait

I'm not watching the trailer. While equating extremism with religion, does Maher also touch on environmental extremism, global warming extremism, pro-choice extremism, extreme feminism, etc..? Just wondering because it seems as if there might be many forms besides just those in a religious context.

Also, equating religious, Christian zealots with Islamists is a stretch IMO. Yes, I don't understand organized religion either; however, I'd take mega churches and Southern Baptists over beheadings, oppression, violence, cruelty to woman and children, etc. any day.

By the way, I'm not the least bit religious. However, coming from my point of view, I don't understand the constant attacks on Christianity in this Country.

Meh. What's the big deal?

Christians, Muslims, and other religious adherents consider part of their mission to convert others to their religion. They have no problem whatsoever explaining their truth to others and telling them it's the only way. Those who don't believe are disdained or less worthy. Obviously in some religions more than others.

So now that someone made a movie trying to convince people not to be religious all the religious people are going to get upset. That's fine, I guess, but it hardly enters my personal realm of giving a ****. And looking down at religious people is no worse than religious people looking down at other religions or non-religious people. Tough crap, I say.

I guess I should note at this point that I'm not excited about or even looking forward to this movie and don't think I'll ever see it. But the whining is a little funny.

BM used to be watchable. Now he's forgettable. Take such an extreme stand against religion and it falls on deaf ears. BM - Who cares?

Extreme would be trying to verbally beat up a clothing designer in a film that's supposed to be about mocking religious extremism.

The clip was about as entertaining as watching you post on a message board -- not something I'd buy a ticket to see.

Goodness gracious, I struck a nerve.

I think your first post remains problematic from a textual and contextual standpoint. But I’ll let it go in the interest of not provoking you further.

The "I don't care about this!" response is interesting to me, because obviously the person posting does care on some level or else they wouldn't bother responding.
