Israel = the Good Guys in the Middle East; their neighboring states are unsavory and un-trustworthy

Are they located next to churches, or hospitals? Just thinking.
They have to be in an open area for the multiple launches trying to overwhelm the Israeli air defenses, but you are correct.

The Israeli pilots can hit a bowling ball with their offensive weapons so something else is going on.

I am surprised at posters on here who think Israel is wrong to destroy Hamas. I understand the concern for Palis in Gaza who say they are not Hamas. But they voted Hamas in and for nearly 20 years allowed them to embed Military weapons launchers and command centers next to civilian homes churches businesses and hospitals.
Does anyone think Hamas will not murder Israeli citizens again?

Full Video here (worth a watch):

Key takeaways:

- $10k and an apartment for each captive kidnapped
- Civilians and military killed - no distinction for men (civilian vs. military)
- There was supposed to be a distinction for women, children and elderly (not supposed to be killed--only captured) That distinction was obviously broken.
- Some field commanders gave orders to kill (without distinction)
- Senior Hamas leadership tricked them and are a bunch of a$$ holes who live in Qatar and Turkey
- Much of this violates the teachings of Islam, they're ashamed about that.
- One guy thought they were supposed to conquer, hold, and settle (permanently) one of the kibbutzes.
- Different and conflicting orders went to different Hamas units
- Serious lack of any military discipline in Hamas

And they captured a 15-16 year old (or so) Israeli girl. So what do you think they did to her............

They gathered around her, posed, and took a bunch of selfies.
:idk:
(prettiest girl these lunks have ever been around, I guess....)

Serious question
Mona
MSN is quoting the leaders of the church.
Do you think the elders of the Church lied?
At this point there are still questions.

Amash? Might he have an agenda?

You have to compare what is being said in the two reports. They aren't contradictory. But the MSN report is incomplete which deflects the real problem on the groung. The church itself wasn't hit but an annex building was, and it killed multiple people. This was confirmed by Justin. I think it is a bit gross saying a person is biased because he is sharing that family members were killed. He showed video footage confirming his claims and did what he could to make sure it was legit before he posted. MSN is trying to say that nothing bad happened to the church. They don't even identify who they talked to.

Mona
I did not say Justin was biased for posting the tweet about his relatives. I asked if he had an agenda based on some of his past remarks and votes.
You do know Hamas for 20 years has embedded military targets next to and underneath civilian churches hospitals etc. right?

Yes. That doesn't mean we should be disinterested in the death of innocent people.

If your family was killed by a missile hitting a church building, would it give you comfort by believing that they were considered collateral damage to those who fired the missile?

Interesting Federalist article on Biden et al's response to Israel attacking Hamas.
So WE send military to Israel to learn to avoid civilian casualties. Imagine that.
"His scolding Israel about not hitting civilian targets in Gaza was nothing more than virtue signaling, since Israel needs no such advice. Indeed, the Pentagon has sent officers to Israel to get its instruction on how to avoid civilian casualties because its procedures are as rigorous as that of any army in the world."
And to the point that all Palestinians are not HAMAS?
Israel withdrew every settler and settlement from Gaza in 2005 in the hopes that the gesture would help lead to peace. Palestinians were given autonomy. But by 2007, they had established an Islamic tyranny led by Hamas, dedicated to “armed struggle” to overturn the “occupation.” And by “occupation,” Hamas says, in both its founding charter and ongoing statements, this means destroying Israel no matter where its borders might be drawn."
Wonder why no "Palestinian has tried to lessen Hamas' influence in past 20 years??
"Since 2007, Hamas rule in Gaza has for the most part gone unchallenged, except for groups like the Iran-controlled Palestinian Islamic Jihad, which is, if anything, even more radical and violent. Since the Arab population still views all Jews as “colonists” and “occupiers” and not just those who live in the areas that were held by the Arab states before the 1967 Six Day War, Palestinian political culture valorizes terrorism and treats those who shed Jewish blood as having gained political legitimacy."

It is hard to understand the sudden concern for Palestinians vs Hamas since for 20 years Palis did nothing to stop Hamas. AND did nothing to create a better life for themselves,

Not All Palestinians Are Hamas, But Hamas Represents Them

Several factual errors here. First, Hamas doesn't have autonomy if that means actual political sovereignty. Gaza and the West Bank are both under the sovereignty of the state of Israel. There is only one state. Gaza is essentially a prison camp with one group of thugs elected to represent them in a limited way. Gaza isn't "Mexico". They are the "Navajo Reservation".

Second, they can't say Palestinians haven't done anything to stop Hamas. Hamas has never won a majority of votes. They won election based on a plurality. This is like saying conservatives have done nothing to stop Democrats. They/we have voted against the leftward creep, though inconsistently, for 100 years, but the Dems won the culture war in the 2010s after they won the economics war in the 1960s.

Not sure who this guy is or his point of view, but an interesting data point. Not sure what it means or how real it is, but if true, very interesting and confusing at the same time.

I believe it was all designed to make them look good. They murder all those people and then brainwash their hostages.

If Hamas had only killed men, and kidnapped women and children (leave the elderly alone) to use as leverage to avoid being destroyed, then that would at least make military sense and defensible within the context of war.

It appears different orders went out to different Hamas terror cells.

I don't like that either. That is further evidence of Hamas' depravity. They want those people to die. What other conclusion can we draw?

Hamas wants them to die and Israel doesn't care one iota if they do. The recent events also show this mythological narrative isn't true.

The Israeli pilots can hit a bowling ball with their offensive weapons so something else is going on.

Analysts say that a majority of people killed in bombing raids like this are civilians. 90% of the people killed in the drone strikes that Obama signed off on were civilians. Some other numbers are floating around on the subject, and I can address those if they pop up.

Interesting that a Jewish hostage Hamas released was a "peace activist " who apparently had spent her life bringing Gazan people into Israel for medical treatment.
Interesting that Hamas has not released any hostages of Israeli people whose loved ones Hamas brutally murdered.
Still trying to understand how anyone could condemn Israel from destroying Hamas.

For those who can stomach this (I cannot get past the killings of children):

For those who can stomach this (I cannot get past the killings of children):

I read it, and it's sick. Israel has to do this for the same reason Eisenhower required Germans to tour concentration camps after WWII - to force them to confront an evil that they would otherwise deny and in the case of the international media, are denying in the present.

It also gives everybody a picture of what the people cheering on the Palestinians are really cheering on and a picture of how evil and horrifically hypocritical the pro-Palestinian left really is. They've spent the last several years screaming that everybody who isn't a wailing leftist is a Nazi, and now they're cheering on the latter-day SS-TV. It's foul. It just shows that the thing they don't like about Nazis isn't what normal people don't like about Nazis.
