Barnes was admittedly handcuffed in this regard due to personnel, but I would just like to opine that he chose the wrong guys to get mad at.

Bill Simmons' criticisms of Coach Barnes last year were mind-boggling. The idea that he somehow underutilized a true freshman who became the consensus national player of the year is absurd.

Could Barnes have used Durant differently? Probably. Would that have been better? Who knows, but with every change in emphasis, something gets de-emphasized. There are only so many practice hours in a week.
