Not a huge schiff fan. They’d send some other Dem to replace him.
 
So the Dems pushed to give Trump a national trial during Biden’s first 100 days where his legal team will argue that the election was stolen. And oh by the way, there is zero chance of convicting Trump given 45 Senators are on the record that the trial is unconstitutional. :popcorn:
 
But can’t we all agree that the reason the Republicans in Congress did not give Trump much of what he asked for is because they thought he was a hopeless Dick?

Trump's seminal issue, "Build the Wall", required EOs, stealing from the military and other shenanigans to build 40 additional miles of wall. For all the heartache with Biden's EOs (I share them), he's largely undoing Trump's EOs, aside from the typical virtue signaling. Because these things were never codified into legislation, they can be undone with a POTUS signature. Of course, the next R POTUS will do the same. What a lovely yo-yo act simply because the Legislative Branch is broken. **** Newt Gingrich for breaking it.
 
all three of those judges were on Scalia's wish list and McConnell steered them through. Like all of them and think them far preferable to what Barack Drone Obama picked. Will bet they are much better than whoever Chance the Gardener gets to pick-----assuming he can find a Black lesbian transgender with a law license.

Un****ing is the meme that made me laugh best.
 
On a townhall meeting last night Gov't Abbott spoke at length about the wall on OUR border and how worthless miles and miles and miles of old wall had been.
There are pics of cut through and torn down barbed wire and old rotten wood fences. Then there are pics of the new replacement wall. He explained how the replacement wall is not only a deterrent on its' on but allows for other methods to be really effective including sensors cameras drones and vehicles.
The replacement walls make identifying breaches and places where illegals can try to sneak in but then can get tracked and prevented from getting in.

Only an idiot or hater would ignore the benefit of replacement walls preventing drugs, thugs traffickers from getting in. Apparently there are plenty of idiots.

Nah...it doesn't have the same ring to it nor was it what we were talking about nor what Trump committed to.
 
I am very much in favor of limiting immigration but a wall is not very practical compared to prosecuting some employers, which is easy. The same laws that are used to prosecute my clients for smuggling them can be used against employers for employing them. All it takes is the will to do so. Most of the employers are Republicans who want cheap labor and the dems don't want to prosecute them because they figure the demographics of immigration favor them in the long run.

Walls can work to a limited extent but there are hundreds of places along the river where it is easy to cross undetected. And that is just places where you can walk across. Using floats and boats jacks up the numbers.

The great Trump could not get a republican congress to pay for much of a wall and so he borrowed a page from Obama the Droner's book and used EOs. Which can be undone and are being undone by Chance the Gardener with his own EOs. Trump was not any more adept at managing legislation than he was at manipulating the Mexicans or managing casinos.
 
In order to replace a worthless wall you have to Build the wall.
Interesting that stupid attempts at semantics is more important than security or the misery of those trafficked etc.

I completely agree. There have to be multiple angles and strategies. Employer sanctions yes
But that doesn't stop drugs or traffickers

Well now, how about the reference herein abou good ol Elon and his being investigated for ‘not’ hiring immigrants? The reference implies they immigrants not being hired were illegals but that is hard for me to accept.
 
Might as well show the actual video rather than the commentary of the video. Talking about deceptive...wouldn't want people to decide for themselves.

Trump uttered 11,000 words in his speech and his supporters want to focus on 1 word and ignore the rest. All too typical and expected.

Consistency all around. Nobody should misrepresent anyone "legal scholars" perspective. So Turley believed in retroactive trials until after the Clinton impeachment. I look forward to Jack P's response if Trump's lawyers mischaracterize Brian Klatt's positions like their did in their pretrial briefs.
