it has been raining steadily all morning in North Dallas.
How many of the power outages are equipment failures and how many trees falling

Man, lotta difference losing power in an ice storm than a hurricane. At least in a hurricane the temp going outside isn’t a killer so a lot easier to
Go outside and fire up the generator (if you have one of course). I’ve gotten so old age adverse to the cold it would be a real challenge for me now. Prayers to you all.

My understanding is that Beto knows how to dig holes so the power lines would be safe. He also knows how to teleport kids and teachers to schools and back so we wouldn't have any canceled school days this week.

We lost power for around 3 hrs in the late afternoon/early evening. Back on and good since then.

Lots of downed branches in Austin. Schools canceled today so they can clean up trees not because of ice.

Not with Oncor. Have Austin Electric, and power came back on this morning at 4:30 am. It was 46° inside my house when power came on. Now it's a toasty 75°.

Large tree limbs are down in almost every yard all over Austin. It looks like a tornado came through town but only hit trees and large shrubs.
