Hudson Card

QB will be interesting on Sat.

High ankle sprain - you just cannot start Card and position him as a "sitting duck". Teams will blitz him every other play and he could get injured in another way or further delay his ankle healing.

Heard somewhere yesterday that Malik is unlikely to play as he just does not know the playbook well enough AND he is still healing...

So, it seems that Wright MAY get the start. I hope Sark has had Roschon taking snaps just in case... not just WildHorn snaps.

Sark isn't going to say anything in a PC about it, but Maalik suffered another setback hurting his wrist riding a moped.

Duke,

Although I've never tried it, longtime Texas HS coach Sonny Detmer (father of Ty & Koy) used to use tobacco instead of poke.

The problem why Card holds on too long is because an OL or RB blows their block or the WR gets waylaid or pushed off his route. He then looks for another option - sometimes he gets out of the pocket successfully and sometimes not. He needs to stop going for the 10% chance that he can make good on a bad play and just dump it at first sign of trouble.
Sark will tell you that Ewer’s ability to go through the progressions and make all of his reads is one of his strengths. Not all quarterbacks have that ability and some never master it.

He doesn’t even need to go through his reads. If the play is falling apart, just throw the ball away before it’s too late. It’s like he has to make all of his reads before trying to dump the ball somewhere.

Granted, but it appears that Ewers will find an open receiver more often than others.
