Not to defend PO1D or anything, but some of the comments are getting downright mean. I think BostonRC's post is harsh but correct... a lot of the abuse is brought on by PO1D's self-righteous arrogance.

That said, I don't think PO1D should give up just because #5 didn't response. Sometimes it DOES take persistence to get a girl. The key is to for her to not form a obsessive-psycho-knife-in-the-shower eeeh-eeeh-eeeh-eeeh mental image about him, which she shouldn't have (even though we know better). I think if PO1D wants to wait out the boyfriend, that's his prerogative, but he needs to lay low for a while 'til the **** storm blows over.
