It is true. There are elected officials/public servants on the left that say worse stuff on a weekly basis. But hey! Who's paying attention? The leftist media is still trying to find racist Tea Party members...
 
It's just insane. We have a radio personality calling a disingenuous lib plant, a slut.(which, according to her own testimony, she is) They have a SITTING U.S. Congresswoman calling fellow Congressmen demons, and telling all Tea Party members to "GO TO HELL!"

And we're the ones who should be apologizing...welcome to Bizarro World.

With Rush, I've always considered the source, but I do find it amusing that his sponsors are starting to pull their ads. With Limbaugh's renowned keen insight, that must have been his plan all along. lol
 
And now, after calling a person he's never met a slut, Limbaugh is playing the victim, claiming that he's being demonized. The hypocrisy is stunning. A man who has spent a lifetime demonizing others complaining when he gets demonized?


In his world, it's okay for him to demonize others but not for others to demonize him.

No politician condemns Rush because Rush (like Hannity, Maddow, all of them) are entertainers. They do not make any policy. Politicians do not respond to them whether they agree or disagree with their points.

if he is really losing advertisers, he will replace them in a heartbeat, most likely at higher rates. His show is massively popular. I havent heard him in years, but his audience continues to grow.
 
He dwarfs any liberal talk show host, as do most of the good conservative talk show hosts.

The absolute buffoonery of that girl going before a side-panel of D congressman and making the case that someone other then herself should pay for her birth control defies description.

Rush calling her a slut, is irrelevant. The real issue here is the Ds and libs trying to cover their tracks on a PR stunt gone horribly wrong by trying to make Rush the issue.

No one has explained how one could spend $3000 in 3 years on BC if you weren't having a really high amount of sex, even for a college student.

I just wanted to point out that the cost of many oral-contraceptives come to over $1000/year. Some are also very cheap, as little as $10/month, but different women require different medication. Fluke stated that contraceptives can cost over $3000 over the course of the law school, not that they always do. Loestrin is an example at about $80/month.

Also, the $3000 for a summer legal internship. In her testimony, fluke specifically talks about a law student on a public interest scholarhip earning that much. I assume the public interest internships aren't as lucrative as some out there. Go read the full testimony. She has some valid points and none of it justifies a "slut" label. The Link
 
It's a complete non-issue. Rush Limbaugh is not an appointed representative of the Republican Party just as Michael Moore and Bill Maher are not appointed representatives of the Democratic Party, and nobody on the left feels the need to condemn or apologize for the outrageous things they say.

I seriously doubt that a poorly worded (yet correct in its essence) statement by a conservative entertainer will be anywhere near as harmful to the GOP as the epic failure of the Obama presidency, not to mention equally incendiary rhetoric by ELECTED representatives on the left side of the isle, will be to the Democrats.
