HCU will be starting a Freshman outfielder at starting pitcher tonight. He's also from Katy, so you know what that means...

Ty Dagley
OF - LHP
Freshman
175 lbs

Dagley throws a fastball up to the mid 80s on a good night. He also throws a curveball and a slider/slurve, both with rather pedestrian movement. I wouldn't want to be rude to our guests, but you would never find this guy pitching for us.

Look for 7+ runs tonight for the Horns.

That mound looks slippery.

Wells and Diaz are a couple of their often-used middle relief workhorses that we may see.

Brown walks.

Flores to the plate.

Flores grounds out to 2nd base.

0-1 on to the 2nd.

O'Dowd could've done better on that one.

Poor Jack's off to a rough start again this year.

Don't worry, he'll be on fire in April and May.

Error on base running by them. HBU runner stepped off the bag after the tag applied by Dee Kennedy on the pickoff to 2B. Nice pickoff by Harrison by the way.

Berkman is angry, he's saying Kennedy pushed him off the bag.

Coach pulls Harrison.

Enter Tumis. Most wicked stuff on the team (save LBJ). Gotta watch that control.

And we're out of the top of the 2nd with no damage.

Bottom of the 3rd.

Jack O'Dowd - taking pitches, working the count, he's quite good at that. Line drive to RF, extra bases.

Lead off double-- Jack O'Dowd!!!

Galvan, better lucky than good. Off their 2B glove. Jack was on his horse and scores from 2nd.

1-1

Nik Sanders likes to smash the ball, but in foul territory...

High fly to left CF.

Kennedy up. Galvan on 1st. 1 out.

I missed the 1st inning and part of the 2nd, did Pierce pull Harrison because of ineffectiveness (walks)?

Base hit Gasparino, to LF.

Runner scores.

2-1 us. 4 hits for the inning (chopped liver on the mound).

The announcer HBU's pitcher's breaker is "nothing special"...

Harrison was cold (probably literally and figuratively). Giving up walks wasn't like the old Harrison. But he wasn't pitching THAT bad. He may have only planned 1-2-3 innings for him in the first place. Early season mid week games. We may see 6-7 pitchers--and not because they're stinking up the joint.

Harrison didn't look good today, but he didn't look awful. He could be one of our go-to pitchers, so let's hope it was just some jitters. He was a very good control pitcher.

he's got O'Dowd at 1st again this game. Interesting move but I did want to see someone else at second with more range and a better arm.

Wish J Duplantier would get his fielding where it needs to be but maybe Farmer will get it done.
