Houston Christian game

Tumis with some high pitch counts. He's got exceptional breaking stuff, but he's got to master consistent control. When he does that, he's an all-conference sort of pitcher.

he's got O'Dowd at 1st again this game. Interesting move but I did want to see someone else at second with more range and a better arm.
Jack had a ball go off his glove earlier, but he seems to be settling into the role.

Folks, we're going to have batting practice for pretty much all game. This would be a good time to work in lots of the new players.

Also, I'd like to see a bunch of our new pitchers, including the Freshmen. Tumis is throwing pretty well--same thing we've seen from him thus far--ultra wicked breaking pitches; spotty control at times.

Berkman sends his pitcher to the showers.

In comes another Freshman pitcher for HBU--Ethan Coronel.

Tumis sticks around for more. This is a pitcher worth putting on the fast-track for development.

Tumis living some at the bottom of the zone. Ump isn't doing him many favors. The strike zone is tighter than Dick's hatband.

Powell -- extra bases. Lead off double.

We're teeing off on these chopped liver pitchers.

Tumis is done. He pitched really well. Gotta give some more of his young teammates a chance for playing time.

Enter Hudson Hamilton.

He's been one of the Coaches' favorites in Fall Ball and the Alumni Game.

Strikeout wizard. Lower to middle 90s. RPMs on his slider are higher than most MLB starting pitchers.
