Horns vs Coogs Game Thread 2023

We can’t cover anyone deep. Glaring issue. The safeties get exposed in every game.

I can hear Sark in the post game. “We’ll get that cleaned up.” No, apparently we won’t.

Well, we haven’t, in 26 quarters. Marvin Harrison Jr. would have 500 yards against this secondary.
 
The coaches need to teach the corner blitzers they have to keep outside leverage, oh and don’t miss an open shot at the qb.
 
We fell asleep after getting up….which was foolish considering that Houston is basically Texas Tech and can score quickly.
That call on the fake kick was real PAC 10 or Pee Wee not sure which one.
 
Let me see if I can set the reverse jinx before the 2nd half:

This is just not a good football team right now. The rest of the top 10 would smoke them. And out of the rest of the top 25, I think we'd beat UCLA. But all the others are probably better.
 
For the record, regarding all the passes behind or at the line of scrimmage, I've seen open receivers all day down field. Quinn isn't finding them and he has had all day to look. About 80% of the passes could have been thrown down field but he's not pulling the trigger and taking the safe play every time.

Arrogant call on the fake. Did we actually have our kicker running it?

We need to ramp up the pressure on the coog's QB in the second half. Maybe we could play some press as well?

No matter what happens in the 2nd half we have blown the opportunity to provide playing time for
Murphy and Manning.

Unfortunately, we have to see if we can just win this game now.

I just went back and looked at recruiting rankings for the past 4 years. Texas consistently in the top 10, Houston anywhere from 55 to 86. In '21 they signed 13 3* players, no one else.

This crap is all on coaching.

Then back to the plan, and Sark for crying out loud I dont care if its 4th a .001” on the goal line- take the points, sir.
