HF.com history

I met LHB at his tailgate by the creek bridge during the 2000 season and started reading both sites then. He always gave me food and beer when my friends passed through. I think that's the best thing anyone will say about him.

I guess progress means increasing numbers, but Hornfans was brilliant when you knew almost every poster and knew their style of writing and humor. Nowadays, most of the old posters have left or switched usernames. It's still a great place to come and laugh at idoits.

i'm not really significant in hf.com history. i started in 2000 under a different handle. i was never originally banned i just wanted to change my moniker after reading someone post gardere owns ou in a thread....

i remember after just two years of GOO, people were making a big deal about me catching scally in post count as if it was some measure for being a bad *** or the biggest ******* loser.

i've been here for almost 6 years and have met some really incredible people. i've been able to help people as well as been helped, i've played teacher and pupil, comedian, dimwit, misinformed, very informed, "unintenionally funniest poster ever", i've had job offers from fine folks here, i know some well enough that they'd be perfect references, i've had hook-ups for different things, great sources, etc... etc... i could really go on.

a few of the people i've met here have become such close friends of mine that they'd be in my wedding if there ever was one. and several others would most certainly be invited.

some like me and some don't. i don't care. i've enjoyed every minute i've been logged in.... even if i was banned here or there.

I had lived away from Texas for 20 years when I set up part time shop in NB, started to explore this newfangled internet thing to find me some Texas football, and found the 360 board, sometime in 96. Came over here with the initial migration.

Life would be a bit less full without these boards. That seems a pathetic viewpoint. Are their better boards in heaven or hell?

About five years ago, XOVER posted something on the 3:16 sorority thread about how to pick up women.

That was one of the most bestest posts in the history of the InterGoogle.

the little apple is the bane of my existence. i lost my cell phone their last time up after the loss, due to a hole ripped in my jeans while riding in a dryer at a laundromat.
