Well, it's been almost a month since I posted, but there's a good reason for that.
I got in an accident on the 4th and got messed up ... bad. I broke both of my legs at the femur and fractured one of my pelvic bones. I was in the hospital for a week and have been at home since the 12th. Usually, broken legs take 4-6 weeks to heal, but my situation is a little different. Due to my preexisting medical condition (arthrogryposis multiplex congenita), my recovery is more like 8-10 weeks. It sucks. I can't really work more than a few hrs at a time and will probably have to go on short-term disability.
Sorry if this isn't a good spot for this post, but folks ask me questions from time to time and I wanted to make sure I didn't ignore someone during my absence.
UPDATE:
For those remotely interested ...
My orthopedic surgeon has prescribed for me a bone growth stimulator (hold all jokes, please). It's been 5 weeks since the accident and progress is still slow. He's hoping to speed up the process, I suppose. On a brighter note, I will return to the office Monday, working part-time.
