Considering the difference in size for both institutions, I'd say the per capita ratio is heavily skewed in VMI's favor as a REAL contributor to REAL Army as opposed to aggy who seems to only want to fling poo & hogtie people with duct tape all in the name of "character building".

aggy Went voluntary corps. in '65, which means that EVERYONE who attended from '64 backwards (so apporopriate to use that word in relation to aggy) HAD to be corps. & If you take the enrollment of VMI vs. the enrollment of aggy, you'll see their 40 more G ranked & Flagged officers has a lot to say about their quality of participation.

Can you show me the % of aggy that takes a commission? For VMI, it's 50% or better.

& Who gives a **** about carrying the streamer for someone who (at the time of his participation) was REAL army. VMI participated when some of their students felt the call to duty (let's not go into war of Northern agression vs. the fight to retain the republic... I don't want to have to cite a thousand sources just to post on Hornfans).

Bottom line: aggy likes to play dress up & "we are the keepers of the flame" when in reality, you're just mad because you couldn't even get in to the Merchant Marine Academy.

Well, I got into Texas, did you? I'm not in the corps anyway. And the enrollment wasn't that different until pretty recently and being in the corps was compulsory before '65 you are right but joining the military wasn't. When are you going to make fun of the seven medal of honor winners?

Should we now talk about the new program the recruiting coordinator for the corps told me about. The one where they allow kids from Blinndergarten to participate in corps activities, make average grades at Blinndergarten, and then get greased into the corps? Yeah, that's funny. Let's talk about that....
