Good Guys vs. Rock Chalk score predictions

The last game I went to at FEC, we beat the Chalks. Homecourt does wonders, and I'm "hoping" our talent plays well.

Us 83-80.

Prediction #2: Nova-GaTown goes 2 OT's and we miss the first 10 minutes of the game.

Hook'em!!!

Funny thing is, I was about to post a thread that 1975 pretty much had the score nailed, and he did.

I am glad I was wrong...

What I didn't stipulate in my earlier post (because I didn't think it was possible) was that we could win if DJ played bad as long as someone else stepped up and carried his usual point load. Well HELLO CONNOR ATCHLEY! God dang this guy seems to show up in big games. Perfect from the field and then add to that that MASON was absolutely amazing on the boards and handling the ball so we could run DJ off screens. A total team effort, but these two guys were the biggest difference.

Look- if we merged teams I'm not saying we'd have 4 guys in the rotation, but if you offered them up one and only one of our guys and asked- is he in the rotation- DJ- Yes, AJ- yes, Damion- Yes, Atchley- maybe- Gary Johnson- maybe.

DJ starts- AJ is the first guard off the bench and Damion is the first big off the bench. Atchley and Johnson might or might not play- but they'd be ok playing them for sure in the case of injury or for a couple minutes here or there.

And WashU isn't Washington, it's St. Louis- just FYI.

Neither Atchley nor Johnson would be playing much for KU.

Cole Aldrich is a McD A-A and he's averaging about 9 minutes a game because their frontcourt is so deep.

Atchley would be sent in to shoot a three when necessary. That would be about it.

Bob- I'm not really disagreeing with you, that's why I said maybe. Connor might be able to fill a role in limited minutes with them- but he's not playing a ton for them. I'm thinking they could find a way to get him or Gary Johnson 5 or 10 minutes a game and have it be a benefit- but I'm not saying it's a lead pipe cinch.

I don't know that Connor is better (at least for them) then Zaun

I agree, they are comparable in rebounding and shooting inside the arc. But KU doesn't really have a spot for Atchley -- they don't want their posts shooting threes.

I am glad we won but I still believe that DJ is the only guy who sees PT for Kansas. And as said before, I am talking about meaningful PT, not trash time PT. And yes, WashU refers to the fine establishment in St. Louis, MO.

I'm glad for you that you are glad we won. And I'm really not trying to be a dick, but, you are as wrong about your DJ being the only one deal as you are about KU winning 10 out of 10 from the horns.

I'm not talking about garbage time with a guy like Atchley or Johnson- I'm saying that they could play limited minutes for a limited purpose (think like Dexter Pittman for us). You are crazy if you don't think AJ gets off the bench or Damion James.

even if you want to consider Damion and Arthur to be the same player, Arthur doesn't get a full 40 minutes. Damion is going to at least spell him for 6 or 8 miniutes a game, and he's gonna get minutes from Zaun as well.

AJ abrams is a tremendous zone buster on that team. He couldn't selfishly jack up shots, but I gurantee you Self would look at that guy as someone who can play for him- somewhat. DJ is probalby the only starter, but Aj'd be their 6th man scoring spark off the bench and James would be their first big off the bench.
