Go Spurs Go!

They are playing very well. OKC vs. SA will be a very good series. No sweep in that one for either side. Probably a 6 or 7 game series.

Gotta get past the Clips first. After last night you can see that this will be a very physical series that likely will go 5 or 6 games. Pop won't let the team look past the current opponent, nor should he. Danny Green gave CP3 fits and basically took him out of the game. Good win!

Probably wouldn't be a bad thing for both the Spurs and Thunder to drop a game in their respective LA series. That will remind them of what it feels like to lose before they face each other.

Popovich has the strategy down. Cut the head of the snake (Paul) and the rest of the body won't operate. Pop knows that Griffen(Sooner) and Jordan (Aggie) are one dimensional atheletic players that rely on Paul for all of their hoop setups.

Speaking of those two guys, I actually kind of like Blake Griffin, but seeing Tim Duncan stuff his high-flying slam attempt in the 3rd quarter was pretty awesome - especially since Duncan barely even got off the ground and just predicted exactly where the ball was going to be and put his hand there. And I also really liked Popovich burning the Clipper's last possession before halftime by fouling DeAndre Jordan and watching him brick two free throws. I've dubbed it the "Hack-an-Ag" strategy.

Jordan was very aggie like- had a temper when things didn't go very well, and he's not even that great to begin with.

I loved the team like play last night, again. The Spurs simply use everyone on the court, unlike the lakers/Clippers who are dependent on 2-3 stars.

On another note- LA is 0-4 so far in second round. Ouch.

Spurs on 16 game win streak. Averaging 19.8 point wins at home (9 games), 13.6 on the road; 17 point margin of win overall. This weekend will be interesting...

So proud of the the Spurs today.

According to ESPN, this was the largest 1st quarter deficit ever that was overcome to win a playoff game. Previously the record was 21 with Boston down to the Lakers in the 2008 finals. Boston won 97-91.

GO SPURS GO!!!!! GO SPURS GO!!!!!

I watched the entire game, but I have to admit that my finger was on the channel button in the second quarter.

I had a feeling the Spurs had the down spurt in them that happened in the first half, but that was some perseverance they showed in not giving up.

On the flip side, that was a soul crusher for the Clips.

My money is on the Spurs to sweep today.
Anybody want the Clliped, downhearted, distraught, ready to go home Clippers.
I cannot imagine them putting up much resistance. They gave it everything yestersday but they only had 1/4 of a tank.

Yeah, rest is good.

Unfortunately the game is on too late for me to watch tonight, since I have to get up early tomorrow. I'll just have the kids tell me how it turns out.

The Clippers did put up resistance. A down to the wire game. Good for the Spurs to have a challenge. They made great stops the last two possessions to hold on for the win.
Griffin and Paul had their best games and I think the challenge was someting the Spurs needed. Bring on OK.
Gee I hope the Lakers do not pull this one out. I so dislike them and Kobe in particular.

All this had me wondering what the best ever playoff record was and it seems to be the '01 Lakers at 15-1. That was back when the first round was a best of five.

The 1983 Philadelphia 76ers also only lost one game, but there was one fewer round then, so they "only" went 12-1. The 1999 Spurs went 15-2 and set the record for consecutive wins in a single playoff with 12.

It would be nice if the Spurs could go 16-0 in the playoffs but that will be most difficult. I would be satisfied if they win 8 more games in this year's playoffs.

A classic understatement, Bill. But I'll sure take a championship, whether it takes 8 games or 14. And I doubt that the Spurs care who they play in the upcoming series.

Rest is very good when prepping for OKC. I say OKC closes tonight, and then hopefully the NBA doesn't delay this forever so they can drag out the playoffs until July.

I have to confess, as big a fan I am of the Spurs I simply couldn't make it through the 3rd. The game was on too late, and I am not the spring chicken I once was. So I woke up to watch 20 minutes of analysis on ESPN about what Kobe and Lebron had for breakfast until they showed me 2 minutes worth of highlights about our game.

Would love to see a Philly or Indy-SA match up, piss off the NBA, and keep Miami and Boston out of the finals for once.

It's good to see former Spur George Hill doing so well in his hometown on a separate note.

I haven't looked forward to a series this much in quite some time. I will of course be pulling for my Spurs, but it won't really break my heart irreparably if the Thunder win. Either way I'll have a team in the finals.

I sorta agree Third... I want KD to continue to be awesome, but I still love my Spurs and hope that they've got enough to win...

Would be cool to shut everyone down except KD, so he gets 40-50 per night, but the Spurs still get the win.
