Ginsburg

thanks Nash
I admit until Dion pointed it out I did not even notice
Does that make me antiSemitic?

The Dipchit Chief of staff for Newsome is threatening to go to DC and lay down to prevent GOP Senators from getting in to vote:brickwall:

More Mitt --

"I think there's some perception on the part of some writers and others that gee, what happened with Merrick Garland was unfair. I don't agree with that."
Mormons in Utah are firmly onboard the Trump train for the sole reason that he promised to nominate conservative judges. Mitt has no choice. He goes against this, he is toast.

These people are freaks. I am a fan of C Thomas, but I' m not going to dress up like him and run in formation.

There was this myth of her smoking Navy SEALS in workouts and crushing beer cans with her bare hands, in reality it seems, as you would expect for an upper 80's woman with cancer, she was quite frail and weak.

Interestingly, the whole pop culture worship of Ginsburg fed into her ego, and resulted in her staying on the court, instead of retiring before the 2014 election, when the Democrats still controlled the Senate so could have approved anyone.

Thus, when a good conservative jurist is seated in about a month, all those silly shrieking harpies can scream at mirror, as they are the ones to blame (credit).

Also, it now seems that there are at least 51 votes for a floor vote:

Sen. Romney Signals Support For Vote on Justice Ginsburg's Replacement

Now Senators are reserving judgement on how they will vote until a nominee has been named, of course, but the big hurdle was 51 votes for closure.

After that, any R Senator who's feeling the heat could just abstain, thus Apex Predator only needs 47 yes votes, plus Pence to break the tie.

Unless there's some hidden scandal from the nominee, and I don't mean a harpie inventing a feel up attempt from 35 years ago, it should get done.

As before, I think this will help Trump and the Republicans. The white, over-educated, harpie vote is going to be screaming at the sky - but they are motivated voters to begin with, and were always going to turn out for the vote. And when from NYC or SF or LA, it doesn't matter anyway as those states are not battlegrounds.

And you know, you know, the Democrats are going to act in a completely insane manner on this. If you thought Kaughan's hearings were a disaster for the Democrat party (nominee confirmed anyway, who now hates them, and resulted in losing 2 Senate seats), you aint' seeing nothing yet.

Mitt is a A$$ hat. He is a Dem in a Repub clothes and we all see it.

Hillary calls Trump and tells him that she want to replace RBG. Trumps tells Hillary fine with me but you need to call the funeral home and make sure it's ok with them first.:smokin:

I still think he should nominate her. Would love to see how SHE gets treated. But, then she would be a leftist loon on the bench...so, no bueno.

....Interestingly, the whole pop culture worship of Ginsburg fed into her ego, and resulted in her staying on the court, instead of retiring before the 2014 election, when the Democrats still controlled the Senate so could have approved anyone....

She definitely thought she was above having to adhere to the Separation of Powers Clause.

I'm thinking the Catholic candidates should run this clip at their hearings (which I wouldn't even stage if I were the Republican in charge) so the world can see the abject hypocrisy of the Left. You can be sure that the Left supported JFK fully on this.

Maybe a little, but at the time, the pop culture worship was much less than it became in the last few years. Plenty on the left were calling for her to step down back in 2010 because of her health and the death of her husband as well as the Democratic control of the White House and the Senate. It pissed her off because I think she felt that they underestimated and disrespected her (which they did), and I think when it became clear that she wasn't going to quit on anyone's time but her own, that's when the pop culture worship really started getting big (in around 2013 and later).

They should have known a white privileged Liberal with an obsessive sense of her victimhood would switch to ageism as the latest outrage being plundered upon her. Her egomania was off the charts.

And all the Dems feigning outrage at proceeding with a nomination ought to be pissed at her for not retiring when Obozo could have replaced her. Screw her and screw all the Dems.

One headline: Barrett would destroy RBG legacy. Is that a bad thing? These people live in La-la land.
