FERGIE

Welcome to the world of live performance people. And yeah, the singing wasnt "perfect" but geez, it didnt "suck." Were some things out of tune at times, sure, but nothing overly egregious. The recording industry has destroyed any appreciation of live mistakes, or at least the acceptance of them.

The mics did go out a few times, but do any of you actually think that the NFL, for a performance intended for hundreds of millions of viewers, would allow hacks to work on this?

Things happen. Its LIVE. Didnt like the costumes or lights, so be it.

The arrangements were cool and the transitions were pretty seamless. Im sorry Fergie didnt sound like an overproduced recordings or that Will I Am shouted out the lyrics. This aint the Met... for those of you that know what the Met even is.

It didnt suck. Was it everone's cup of tea? Nope. But it didnt "suck."

You want pics, huh? Okay, here ya go:

what is the deal with the vocals being mostly synthesized. also do you not have enough of your own music that you have to cover Guns and Roses.??? She is no Axl Rose. Guns N Roses would be a sweet 1/2 time show.

I wasn't aware that the Grammys were a local music award.

And, 2003, there are plenty of ways to put on a good live performance. I do think that the recording scene has done something similar to what you say - but rather than bring down people's ability to appreciate the live scene, it has brought down many performers' ability to sound good in a live show. This was not a good live show. We can debate the meaning of "suck", but I wouldn't even call this average.

I thought Sweet Child o Mine was more of Slash telling Axel to go F himself.

Usher, really, really really bad.

BEP's it was ok, I was not impressed but not bad.

Now just imagine when people watch this in a 100 years and ask WTF were those lights and what were they wearing. It was worse than any 80's outfit, oh wait it was 80's outfits.......

Bruce and U2 hands down the best. Prince was pretty good but the whole visual was a little much for me.

I would like to see Cee Lo Green next year. He's really good live and if he could bring Outkast and Goodie Mob for a few songs, I think it would be great.

Got to love the idiots bagging on Usher. Guy has more musicality in his pinky than you could even dream of.

Yeah, Yeah Yeah, Yeah yeah, Yeaah
Yeah, Yeah yeah, Yeah yeah, Yeaah

its funny cause i dont remember usher actually singing. i just remember him waving his arms and legs around while a bunch of people with boxes over their heads did the same thing. if thats musical talent then im glad i dont have any.
