Even More On JWP

Of course not. It's the "Hands Off Our Leaders Rally". Mike Dyson is flying to give the keynote at this community wide part rally, part Church service. Freddie Haynes will do his radio broadcast from the central campus. It should be on and poppin'. You should come.

Wouldn't go if I had AIDS and this rally contained the cure. Anyone who considers JWP a "leader" has a sub 80 IQ or a mentally deficient family member.

Yes, that was sort of refreshing. I am a council chair of a United Methodist Church though, and I do think they're possibly messing around with their tax exempt status.

Here is a more thorough article on the event.
The Link

Zan Holmes is involved with this. I've met him and went through a very thorough course called Disciple Bible where he narrated the videotapes.. I can assure Dr.Holmes is a very bright man. Don't assume that just because people don''t see the world the way you do, it's because they are stupid.

The United Methodist Church is full of thinking people. There's no demand to conformity of opinion on political issues or application of Biblical principles to public life.

I would not dispute this speaker's intelligence. However, they're still holding a pollitical rally at a church. Right?

Yeah. I don't think allowing political activities in a facility would crush the Tax exhempt status. I know I visited a Tea Party rally (didn't join, but enjoyed the discussions) at a protestant church in Carrollton and I don't think they would have allowed it would it risk their tax exempt status. Of course, I'm no lawyer.

Oh man, I can't miss that. Might have to make the drive, just to get in on all the faux outrage and race baiting.

Dyson will get his fake preacher on and mix in bunch of eloquent words that rhyme together, while not saying much.

I used to attend Friendship West, every now and then, so I know Freddie can put on a good show.

Crockett, you can be very intelligent/knowledgeable, and stll be wilfully ignorant. Price has been doing work of his North Dallas/Citizens Council masters for quite some time. Often using the people he represents to line his pockets. Guys, like Holmes and Haynes are very aware of it and want their pieces of silver too. IIRC, it only cost $200k for Kathy Nealy to buy the support of the Black Pastors coalition.

Progressive politicians like Price and the Preacher/Pimps figuratively have blood on their hands for the dire circumstances that still exist in the areas, they claim to care about.

Honestly I'm not a Price supporter, but Holmes is a skilled motivator who can get suburban Protestants more excited about God and our fellowship with believers who don't look like us. I've never met Price and don't know anything about Dallas politics except what little I see here, on TV or in the Dallas Morning News. I know not all who are accused are guilty, but if he violated the law, I'll have no more sympathy for JWP than I had for Tom DeLay or Rod Blagojevich.

Brother, what specifically do you know about Dr. Holmes ( the former UT Regent) that would indicate in any way that he is on the take (wanting his pieces, of sliver as it were?

Sweet.

Anyway this is an illustration of the poor state of protestant churges today. They have no business taking sides in a political issue such as this, much less siding with corruption.

Don't even get me started on Westboro Baptist. How pathetic.
