ESPN College Pickem Season -Hornfans group

I have a silent partner on one of my Circa entries...a few weeks ago, I got to introduce him to having to look at weather charts in addition to keeping up with 'rona impacts on rosters. Earlier in the season, he had to learn about impacts of West Coast teams going east.

All of the variables that go into hitting at the required 70% rate to cash have really opened his eyes about sports betting as well as how often some of the pundits really can be wrong on a consistent basis.
 
Well there is always the money line....
When I used to be bet on the betting lines, the ones that seemed no brainers often didn't work out like I thought.

I can only imagine what all goes into this^^^^...If you want to do it right and be successful.
It's all I can do to find a moment to make my hornfans picks...and that system isn't very sophisticated lol....but even then...without anything really at stake...there is plenty to consider.
 
Tulsa and Houston has been canceled, but is still showing up on the board.
It’s funny how all these games are getting cancelled but no players are getting sick.

Worse is that some still point to the Penn State study of something like 30 athletes. The one who had the worst heart issue was actually determined to have had it for many years, but it gets blamed on 'rona because of a positive test...

Yeah...its all pretty silly. ...especially last weeks Clemson cancellation.

As was the case with my Liberty miss. Glancing at the matchup led me to NC State. I took a deeper look and saw NCState had struggled with pass defense and looked like an advantage through the air for Liberty..a pretty good passing team...to exploit.
Only lost a few pts ..but to your point should have gone with my "blink".
 
They haven't removed it from the page yet, but I see the USC game has been cancelled. That brings it down to seven, mostly chalky games. Only one that I would really put in a potential contrarian choice position...and it could come down to who has the ball last.

I hope I dont go too cry me a river here.....but I wasnt happy either w this^^^^. Whoever Ellis is beat me by 1 pt and is in second....he had the game on line 1 and I had it line 2. I almost took a peek Friday night or Saturday morn but they've been removing Cxd games so I didnt. Looked around noon Sat and saw it CxD. Immediately thought to move it to 1 and reached for it only to see the Buffalo game I had on 1 had already started so I couldn't. I'm guessing Ellis noticed and changed or just had it there all along. If I'm not mistaken havent they moved games like that down to 1 automatically a time or two in the past, pre-covid? Messed up my perfect day by 1 pt....I think there were a few other near-perfect days from some of you guys. Stinks, because now if you lose by 4 that's all you'll think of....and I'll do the same if I lose by 1.
Oh well...guess it's part of this game...maybe

I believe it was a late cancelation, likely due to the insanity in Santa Clara County related to quarantine periods for those that travel over 150 miles.

Not sure that there would have been time to move stuff around...I had them at two points simply because the body of work was not significant enough. I took a hit on Kent State...had predicted a high scoring game, but thought the passing game might be enough to overcome the running game. Definitely did not expect that it would go over 110 points IN REGULATION! I had Kent State at 58-48 in my work-up...well, to the extent I do a work-up for college games with no money at stake.

I had the game at line 2 and fortunately no higher... but still not happy about that 1 pt. Had Buffalo at line 1.
And wow....talk about an over.
 
Looks like they fixed it and took that game away for everyone. The right thing to do even though I probably would have benefited slightly since I only had it as a 2 pt contest. This week was basically a nonevent with the top 8 in our group all picking the easy favorites and going 6 for 6.
 
Liberty game against Coastal is off the slate...Coastal is trying to make a game with BYU happen though. Would love to see that show up for the 10th game in the contest...BYU is 13 and Coastal is 18.

Early line has Coastal at plus money on the ML and getting 10 points. O/U has gone up from 58.5 to 61 at some books.

It would not surprise me to see Coastal be this year's crusher of the BYU playoff dreams.
 
I like both teams. BYU will play anyone, anytime,anywhere. Coastal is just a team playing fun, and expecting to win every time.

Yeah...I was eyeing that one and Nevada between us for point battle...we both had Clemson high so that wasn't going to make a difference.

Looks like 2nd place for me, though I can't complain about my effort. You were tremendous
I made my first real bad unforced error mistake of the year yesterday with Memphis on line 8....dont think it would have mattered in final results though... just would have made it a tad closer leaving that one down as I should have.
Did something I wouldn't normally do there....Never go against your system, Badass! ;)
I thought we still had one week left when I woke up this morning but see this was the last week.

Admittedly, I didn't realize it was ending at 11 weeks.

The cancellations each week made it far more challenging since a lot of those are where some hidden points could be found.
