In a situation like this, where the government has spent a huge amount of money, time, and other resources to build a case only to have the (likely guilty) target of the investigation commit suicide before the trial, can the government legally go after the deceased's estate to recover the costs associated with the investigation?

I disagree. This is exactly who Trump is.

I disagree with the original poster. Unlike a random citizen, Trump actually knew Epstein. Maybe he has info that the poster is unaware about? Also, Trump apparently doesn’t like the Clintons who paid for that dossier. Fair play in my opinion
Yep. When the media and the Democrat candidates are all allowed to call Trump a racist, a Nazi and a White Supremacist without any backlash, I think what Trump retweeted is rather tame.

The DOJ has shown nothing but corruption since Eric Holder. But you keep thinking otherwise because CNN says so.
