Electoral College Votes Today

Since 1804, 22,505 electoral votes have been cast for president.
Just 78 were for someone other than the candidate to whom the electors were pledged
No member of the Electoral College has altered the outcome of an election by voting against the candidate to whom they were pledged

The most recent --
John Kerry, 2004 - One Minnesota elector pledged to John Kerry voted for his running-mate, John Edwards, for both president and vice president.

Al Gore, 2000 - One Washington, D.C., elector pledged to Al Gore abstained to protest the lack of congressional representation for the district.

Michael Dukakis, 1988 - One West Virginia elector pledged to Dukakis voted for his running-mate, Lloyd Bentsen, for president and Dukakis for vice president.

I hope it is Texas that puts Trump over the top in the Electoral College
As an ironic award to the one faithless elector, as he fades into irrelevance beginning today.

I hope the faithless elector ties Texas up long enough for Trump to get to 270 before Texas votes, rendering the Texas votes irrelevant. ;)

Trump wins for the third time. This time by even more votes. Texas pushes him over

After seeing the electoral votes shake out for HRC (assuming no more surprises), pretty amazing she coulda won 3 of 4 power states and still fell short of 270.

CA (55), NY (29), FL (29) - 257
CA (55), NY (29), TX (38) - 266

Even if she received all electoral votes in CA, NY, and TX, those 4 electors who bailed in WA would've ruined her coronation by the exact margin needed. :smile1:

Texas closed with a group of kids singing America the Beautiful
Nicely done
North Carolina electors walked into their vote singing God Bless America.

Cue the leftists criticism of bringing God into this.
