It makes me wonder why she chose a date that early. Maybe she just wanted to light a fire under everybody's ***. Yes, it'll almost surely get continued, but if one side is farting around and wasting time, while the other side isn't, the one that is might get hosed.

She could be planning to end this early by dismissing it. She sees what the DOJ did during Russian Collusion and now due to whistleblowers she sees just like we do that the DOJ has been running a protection racket for the Bidens. We've seen some questionable antics from the DOJ in this case already so she might not let the DOJ drag an ex-prez through the mud because this case reeks of being political in nature . We shall see.

While I voted for Trump twice, I have been concerned about his thin skin and volatility. While he did great things for this country, Low Unemployment, Low Inflation, Energy Independence, Respect (fear) from other countries. "Don't mess with the US"

That has all been lost since the 2020 mis-election.

Why is Trump constantly under attack? The left is afraid of him. I agree that people will vote AGAINST him than FOR him because of his persona.

It is time to move on.

Someone on this thread promoted a DeSantis/Scott ticket that I would support.

Having written that, I will support the GOP nominee over whatever feeble candidate the Dem's run.

I don't know. Was at a wedding Saturday. Some ardent Trump supporters I know said that Trump should bow out and they would vote for DeSantis right now.

DeSantis is in Eagle Pass today and will deliver first remarks on border since becoming a candidate. He certainly has been a friend of Texas and Abbott on this.
Still liking that he flew illegals to Martha's vineyard and Calif.
Newsome still has his panties in a wad over that.
Will be interested to hear DeSantis'plan

Not sure if Trump can be stopped......legitimately, anyway.

The problem is if Trump gets the nomination there will be rallies bigger than that to protest against Trump.

Even a much lesser GOP candidate is better than allowing 4 more years of the dims to take us down the road towards communism. And the further we go the closer we get to the point of no return.

Don’t think so if history is any indication but I guess you’re assuming Biden is not the basement leader in 24?

If I know Donnie, I bet if he hasn't figured out how to overcome the democrat cheating machine he has figured out a way to cheat better. He's much smarter than most of those goons.

I thought Trump was an outstanding POTUS for our country. But not sure he should be our nominee.
Still the huge rallies and pics like this are noteworthy.

someone pointed out the ethic make up. The LAPD is definitely not white.
But leftists try to say Trump is racist.

Too bad the crowd was so sparse.
I like him, but I know some people on this site that are more educated in the details of politics have some issues with him.

I would like to hear the policies that some of the more politically educated guys on here don't like.
I remember Mr. Deez as one of the guys, but I can't recall the other. They didn't dislike him, just a few of his policies.
I've looked up the major things, but I know lots of stuff falls through the cracks.

To me, at the very least he is a breath of fresh air in the political world. He seems empathetic , charming, has good ideas (from what I know) intelligent in both IQ and EQ.
The more I see him and hear him, the more impressed I am. He sort of reminds me of a young Obama.
He might be a great VP this round since I don't think he will break the Trumper's grasp on the party, and somehow DeSantis isn't sticking so far. I don't understand why.

So, please fill me in on the not so good stuff. I don't know how to look it up because I don't know what to look for!

Vivek so far is the best candidate based on his views and proposed actions. The question is can he overcome the pre-existent popularity of Trump and DeSantis. For me, I first heard about Vivek when he created his STRIVE asset management company. He is the kind of natural elite that needs to get a chance at fixing our political mess.

Hmm. I don't recall ever saying anything negative about Vivek's policies. (You might be confusing him with RFK, Jr., whose policies I have criticized.) I don't have a big issue with him. I'm not super keen on people seeking the presidency as their first job in politics. I think it's a bit presumptuous and naive, but that's not unique to Vivek. Furthermore, it's a pretty minor criticism. I'm not going to vote for him in the primary, but if he somehow got the nomination, I'd have no hesitation about voting for him in the general election.

same for me. It is one thing to say "I support XXXX" but something very different to have some semblance of a track record where you've actually had to lay down a few votes on the matter.

RFKJr is good on the pharmaceutical industry and the MIC. But he isn't good on guns or climate change. He sounds like a rational portion and more of an old school liberal than woke or progressive. He would be a step up from Biden obviously. He probably would be overall the same as Trump. They are good/bad in different areas but for overall outcome I think it would be similar.

Having a track record in government at this point is a negative generally. They are mostly captured by lobbyists and committees. The US needs outsiders to come in and change things. They have to be smart, quick learners, and diligent readers, but can't be someone who has connections within DC. DeSantis is still an outsider and has proven he is willing to fight the Left's agenda. But I do think he wouldn't be willing to go after the MIC as needed. Not sure on his economics either.

In a lot of areas he'd look like Trump, but he'd be more pro-union and a much bigger regulator. And his judicial appointees would be left-leaning but less ideological than Biden's.

The government has been attacking Trump since 2015. He hasn't done squat against them. He has promoted and appointed those who are attacking him.
