Eating in College Station...

my picks:

Burgers: 1. Koppe Bridge
2. Chicken Oil

Pizza: 1 Bostons ( the tropical chicken pizza with alfredo sauce is f'ing delicious)
2. Antonio's on Northgate

Mexican: No really good mexican places. The Los Cucos was really dirty last time i was there. There are some great breakfast taco places though.

Wings N More is also a good place.

I would go to Koppe Bridge personally

i advise you not to wear any burnt orange clothing anywhere besides reed arena, unless you want to deal with a corps turd. they may call you gay, and then it may go downhill from there.

What will they say to my UT Golf Club head covers on my golf bag when I tee off tomorrow at the ATM Golf Course?

the A&M golf course is a POS compared to Traditions and Miramont, but I'm not sure which is the best. I wouldn't worry about them being around at a golf course, since there are enough trees to yell at around the Quad.

There is a Longhorn Steakhouse in College Station? Thought that would have gone out of business due to boycott.

blueag09,

ATM golf course is in my Golf Pass book. Nothing like a 10 charge for green fee and chart.

this is a trip with me and the wife, so hopefully, it won't be too bad out at a restaurant. if it was me and some buddies, then sure, it would be fine. and, of course, anything at Reed Arena would even be OK, b/c we're at the game, but if I'm eating with my wife at a restaurant, I'm not expecting to get hassled. Don't prove me wrong Aggies.

I love that Wings n More, because after a game I'm usually in the mood for ribs or wings, and they have both. Nice place, and usually more than friendly to those wearing orange. Nothing fancy, but good cold beer and a shitload of TVs. Plus, it's 30 seconds from the freeway to get out of Dodge after paying the bill.

Go to Koppe Bridge. Get a cheeseburger and some Texas Toothpicks -- breaded and fried strips of onion and jalapenos.

The only negative about Koppe Bridge is they use those pitchers that have the ice core in the middle, which means you get less beer. But the burgers and Toothpicks make it worth it.

Stop at Sonic in Caldwell, and you won't have to eat in enemy territory. And don't wear your wife's sunglasses in College Station.

We are headed up soon. We are going to Fitzwilly's. Hard to beat their combo. It's like $4 for a burger, fries and a drink. And oh yeah your choice of drink is coke, tea or beer. Yeah same price for a beer. Beer is the winner.

We'll be drinking a few pitchers there upstairs before the game. Probably for at least 3 hours. We'll be in burnt orange with 1 Aggie.

i hear that a place called "texas a&m athletics dept" serves a great "bowl game ticket list". and its close to reed as well. bon apetit.

That town is a ******** full of the goofiest ******** in the state. I wouldn't eat there.

If you need to fit in: pick your nose, clutch your balls, grab a fat chick as your date, and sport painted overalls. Everyone will think you're aggy.

the game sucked balls and everything, but just thought I should add:
Koppe Bridge really does kick a lot of ***. seriously, one of the best burgers I've had, and they have dollar drafts all day and night on Wednesdays. We got there early, but by 7 p.m., that place had a line out the door. glad we got there early.

but, yeah, that was about the only good thing about the trip to College Station.
