Dem Rep: Tea Party wants minorities lynched

Roger - without the bailout of the banks, there would be no tea party movement. President Bush was roundly criticized by libertarian leaning Americans for the moral hazards he created under his watch with TARP and the rest of the bailouts. That provided the genesis for the tea party movement, not the election of President Obama. Part of McCain's problem was his support of the legislation and other Big Federal Government programs; the libertarian-leaners were not enthused about his Teddy Roosevelt-style adoration of "the federal government is here to help."

As for your feeble attempt to lump all those who disagree with this Administration into the tea party movement, isn't that just a little "Alanis" ironic? If a Commie supports President Obama, would you argue that President Obama is a stinkin' Commie?

Do you see the flaw in your argument? Or are you so committed to the President that reasoning with you is a waste of time.

Think about it. Get back to me later. No hurry. Just planting seeds . . . Take a breath. Reflect and then respond.

Sorry to disrupt y'alls' comfort zones guys, but I've been posting not just my "beliefs" but a timeline and a pattern of behaviour by the tea party that supports my assertion - at their core, the tea party movement's founders are a bunch of prejudiced folks.

It's better to reconcile with this fact than to constantly keep trying to sweep it under the carpet of indifference.

When debate moderator Wolf Blitzer brought up a hypothetical young, uninsured American in a coma, he asked, “Are you saying society should just let him die?” and the tea party crowd cheered, some shouting, “Yes!”

Rep. Ron Paul, the other candidate from Texas and the most libertarian of the GOP hopefuls, was more compassionate than that in his response, as a doctor and as a Christian.

Paul, a Baptist, referred to his early career working at the Santa Rosa hospital in San Antonio, where churches helped cover costs of needy patients so the Catholic system “never turned anybody away.”

“We’ve given up on this concept that we might assume responsibility for ourselves, that our neighbors, our friends, our churches would do it,” said Paul, an opponent to federal heathcare as well Medicaid and Medicare plans

That's the ticket. Put churches in charge of indigent care. These people are ourtight loons.

The fact that a hypothetical dying person creating an "either-or" scenario (with the "or" being that the guy dies) drew mockery from the crowd is a good thing. It should have been mocked. It's a tired, worn-out ploy that the left will continue to yank out whenever it suits them so Satchel can continue to believe that people who don't agree with him want to kill children and old people.I would pay money to hear Sarchel and Ann Coulter discuss this
