Debate Thread

I thought Trump's candor on the abortion debate was superior to your typical conservative debater. I thought that was ironic.

Donald Trump is that bad of a candidate. Can you imagine Texas fans trying to convince themselves that Jordan Spieth should QB the football team out of frustration with the offense? Does anyone think Spieth would end up improving a bad QB situation?
Ok here we agree. I would choose HRC over Trump as QB. She would steal all the plays of the opponents, she would be exempt from penalty yardage, and Kirk Bohls would always write positive stories about the Longhorns even if Iowa State shut us out.

He was sloppy, but he did bring up the fact that overturning Roe only means that states make the decision. It's not a ban on abortion.

Yeah, my wife thought it wasn't eloquent, but dumbing it down made sense here in my opinion. In other topics, it hurts him somewhat.

What I don't want to see is him losing decisively but then blabbing about it all being rigged, getting his crackpot supporters riled up and engaging in conspiracy theories, rioting, etc.

See, I could be very wrong, but I just do not think his supporters would actualy riot. I think the media is exaggerating such possibilities, but i guess we will probably find out.

Exactly, why would old white men riot? Dem voters on the other hand...:rolleyes1:

You're right. They won't riot, but they might protest, which could get embarrassing if the election is a blowout.

I'd expect them to protest especially as Trump continues to stir his supporters up through Trump TV, the brand that debuted yesterday via his live stream.

And that may be what this is was all about - claim the media rigged this and then exploit that rap as a reason to launch his own media company.

Yes, this will be led by Steve Bannon and likely and extension of his media reach. This is why Trump is so dangerous to the R's. I expect him to challenge Foxnews with a brand that is more aligned with Brietbart than traditional conservatism.

I have a feeling there will be protests no matter who wins.

On another note, I laughed at Hillary tweeting the letter from Bush in 1993 about sending her a nice note before moving in. It reminded me that the Clintons vandalized the white house when Gore lost and called it "normal wear and tear."

I am fairly outspoken on here against Trump, but Hillary cannot claim any moral high ground on the sore loser issue after they left the white house vandalized in 2001.

I'd never heard about the Clinton team vandalizing the White House. Classy folks those Dems.

If Trump were to win, rioting would be much more iikely than if Hilldog wins. In fact, Robert Creamer probably had a plan to do just that.
