Darrell Scott- Are we the leader now?

well, besides hurricanes La and Fla have good weather as well.

We all remember what holla did. I'll be happy when he signs and not a second before.

Excellent I think we mut just reel him in the depth chart as following: Darrel Scott, Vondrell Mcgee, Desean Hales. I think with this the running game shoul be dominant. Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Bolt!

Why no response about Hagan not being the Heisman Runnerup?

As to Scott and Hagan, Hagan may have sent LETTERS to Scott but that is it as a Freshman.

What do you say about Darrell contacting his old buddy Blaine about coming to UT? Blaine is a good friend of his.

Hey Lotus-

Why respond to a thread I have never been on? Just dumb luck I noticed this thread- I have the other one book marked.

Um, to answer.

You are correct. Hagan was 5th as a soph. I used the term runner up loosely, thats my bad. Regardless, for some reason I thought he was 3rd in balloting. But you win. Nice work.

Now its LETTERS huh? OK- I couldn't care less. Take it up with Scott who said he has had a solid relationship with Hagan since his freshman year. His quote, not mine.

What do I say about Darrell and Blaine? Nothing really. Scott is doing his due diligence and exploring his options. He will be a Buff. Simple as that.

Irby did go to St. Bonaventure, but he was there a year or so before D Scott arrived. I have heard he's made calls to him anyway.

Yeah good read, but I'm getting a little sick of him to be honest. If we get him - GREAT, if not then I'll look forward to seeing him getting Boom mofo'd next year.

I hope DS comes to Texas, but if he doesn't he doesn't. the sky is the limit for him at Texas.

one thing. these high school players didn't create this recruiting frenzy culture. you can't blame them for taking their time in making decisions and answering questions, or not, in any way they see fit.

HOOK'EM HORNS

I think he wants to come here, but he's torn because he's recruited all the guys to CU and doesn't want to turn his back on them. I can't believe so many kids would go to a program because of one single kid. What if he's a bust, gets hurt, transfers, leaves in three years or god forbid change his committment etc...? Turning down UT and Neb to follow a kid to CU? I hope if he's coming here, he gives those guys enough notice so they can committ elsewhere if they want to.

It will be a moot point regardless.

That being said- they never said they committed b/c of Scott. Sure, it doesn't hurt to get a phone call from the top rated RB in the country to help build a class- but they aren't just following him blindly.

I know Mack is a great recruiter. So is Hawkins. In a year or two he will be known as one of the best in the country.

I would say it is a bit early to make predictions about Hawk being a great recruiter.....

He is starting off well (especially this year) considering they have won all of 8 games in Boulder over the last two years and have marginal facilities.

We've found the miller of colorado football. Or maybe the HTH.

I can't remember the number..miller08? miller05? whatever that ag was...

Hawkins has been a primary recruiter for almost our entire class. Which is ranked #13 by average stars according to Rivals.

Is he known to be on Macks level right now? No, of course not. To dismiss his effectiveness as a solid recruiter though would be very naive.

After tonights visit- UT fan is going to think Scott is in the bag. You are going to hear word that he "committed" to UT.

On February 6th- kid is going to be a Buff.

Bolt,

What do you base this on? I would love for him to be a Buff, but really do not see how anyone can predict what a 17 year old will do.....especially one they don't know.

This seems like the inverse of the Perriloux situation to me. If he really wanted to be a Buff he could announce it right now and do it on TV as well. But instead he is not only interested in Texas but came on a visit with signing day fast approaching and now is allowing one of the best recruiters in college to sit down with him and his family tonight. If you think it's just a joke he's playing, you are crazy.

Plus, say he was recruiting kids to join him at CU, it all happened prior to a RB vacancy opened up at the bigger powerhouse. Now he sees an open competition to start as a frosh at one of the most tradition rich and current big time programs in CFB. A place where national exposure is easier to get, and a Heisman more likely to be attained.

If his cousin wasn't at CU I think he would choose Texas in a heartbeat because it would be a no brainer towards accomplishing his goals. I think he wants to be a Horn now(sure i'm biased), but has to overcome the family obstacle at CU in his conscience.

George-best - not so my friend. Yes, I have a rivals sub. No, thats not why I am confident.

TJ- its his uncle. And UT fan needs to accept that CU is on the rise and knock off this "national exposure" garbage. CU had 10 games on National TV this season.

Handler- That blog was wrong. I already answered this. His mom wasn't offered a job by CU, but thats not to say she hasn't been looking for one in Boulder.
Scott is the one that says Hagan has been recruiting him for 4 years. Last year when J-Fly (his uncle) was being pushed by UCLA- Hawkins and Hagan spent a day with the family keeping Josh with CU. Hagan had been recruiting Scott when Barnett was our coach. Hawkins and Hagan have been recruiting Scott since Hawkins was hired 2 years ago.

Believe me- there is a solid relationship there. As I stated originally- and got in a flame war b/c of it- its a steep uphill battle.
