CWS 2022

Ucla is in finals and a lot of the players have finals to take today. Of course they will be taking them later but the stress could possibly be a factor for many. I’d normally say I want them at their best but it’s the college World Series and I don’t care care!! I Just want the win:hookem:

I’d be fine with Simpson. I just want to face OU next. Even if we lose that game, we drop to the lower bracket. Everyone is good there too. But, I REALLY think we could make the final out of there!
 
I think ucla presents a different type of challenge than ark did. I know they can hit the long ball but its not really their thing. I think they like to pass the bat, maybe force defensive mistakes. Games I saw there were lots of lefties in their lineup.
Right now we are playing our best softball. This team has given me so much to be proud of in what has been an amazing spring season for all Texas Athletics.Texas Fight!

I don’t I understand why he starts JJ at first? I think Parker is a better fielder and hitter. Day is the DH.
 
They really did reward ucla for making a throw up the line. When the ball made contact she was already at the bag where is she supposed to go to touch 1st?

Awesome inning anyways. Sit on the change up on this pitcher and we should add more runs.

I watched highlights this morning of Dolcini against UCLA in regionals last year. She dominated them with teh screwball and never threw a curve. That curve that White has her throwing to show a different side of the plate has made her so much better.
 
Mia Scott hasn’t had the best tournament but my goodness she played out of her mind today!!! We are playing very well right now and I’m most satisfied with our defense and lack of errors. Also timely hitting!! Keep it up horns!:hookem:

JJ started over Parker because Parker has been absolutely atrocious the last month of the season. She has been popping up and striking out in almost every at bat.

In post season she is hitting under the Mendoza line with a ton of strike outs. she leads the team in strikeouts this season.

Courtney Day has been struggling mightily as well as of late, I would have Popelka in there over her.
