Do you believe in ghosts?
Not at the moment, although I reserve the right to change my mind in the face of sufficient evidence. I do believe unexplained phenomena can exist, but I do not believe that there is necessarily a supernatural explanation behind every occurrence.
-Could you live in a house that someone was murdered in?
Depends on the circumstances. If it were a violent murder involving gangs or drugs, then probably not. I wouldn't want anyone killing me or my family by mistake while looking for the previous surviving occupants. However, if it were just something like your typical run-of-the-mill evil wife poisoning her husband for the life insurance money, then it probably wouldn't bother me much.
-If you already lived in a house and then found out that someone had been killed there (murdered or accidental death), would you move out? Would the manner of death make a difference to you?
Probably not, but see above regarding gangs and safety. Also, if the remains of the deceased were found on the property while we were living there, then we would absolutely move. Again, not so much due to ghosts, but just to avoid the media attention and reminders of the horrors that took place there.
-Could you live in a house that used to be a funeral home?
I would never say never, but it wouldn't be my first choice. It's not really the stigma of dead people per se -- I just really don't care for most funeral homes I've been in.
-Would you move even if it would create a financial hardship?
Again, it depends. If it there were some risk of harm to me or my family, then sure. Otherwise, probably not.
-Would you remain in a home where your spouse or your child had died in? Or any of your family or friends had passed away in?
This is hard to say, as I have never really been in this situation, and I could see both sides of it. I am not really afraid of seeing a ghost of my loved one. But I would be more inclined to get away from the painful reminders of the loss while it is fresh. Actually, if I saw a ghost of my loved one after they had passed, I would find it reassuring in some way.
