Yep. Fauci has said we had some early issues due to misinformation from China. Fauci has praised Trump for his performance but you wouldn't know that due to MSM idiocy.

If it wasn’t for NY and NJ, we wouldn’t be in shutdown. Do you think NY/NJ would stop working if it switched places with Texas? Note Texas has 1m more population that NY+NJ. Nearly 7000 deaths vs 167.

I have been doing Camp Gladiator for 5 years now, and I was so scared about what was going to happen with camps being closed. Luckily they just moved to Zoom, like everyone else. It's nice too, because now I have access to workouts from trainers all over the country, and they can see me and coach me if needed. I usually do one of those in the morning and then a walk later in the day.

EDIT: if anyone is interested in having access to these virtual camps, you can get the next 6 weeks for $39!

A San Antonio nursing home had 5 people die yesterday, in one day. The nation's nursing homes are fodder for this thing. The residents have no where else to go and most have underlying conditions.

Most people won’t care about this but Zoom is being ripped apart by those who care about privacy and security because Zoom’s claims about encrypted communications revealed that they had no idea how that works, and many of their staff and servers are in China.

I think the war analogy is pretty good Wars often start badly for the defenders (look at the Allies in WWII). Germans and Japanese started the war with a mindset that made aggression, fighting and killing pretty easy on them, both logistically and emotionally. The Allies didn't just need weapons and training, they needed decision making skills most easily learned through consequences of poor decisions. The Allies learned and eventually kicked butt.

If I'm hospitalized for COVID-19 6 months from now, I expect more skilled treatment than folks are getting now.

Our church has a daily prayer time that was hacked the same way. The problem was solved in about 5 minutes. The host can change a setting so that he/she has to allow anyone trying to join a call.

Or one could argue middle America needs to find its voice and get us back to work sooner! Without an economy this will be a slow ride to hell for all of us. My wife has made 80 masks. We’re trying to help but my customers are paying employees to stand around in some cases. Plants are shutting down. It will take a few months to recover if we restart it right now. If this quarantine lasts through May, it will be 2021 sometime before our country returns to normal! We have hydroxychloroquine and Z pac for now and Dr Glanville has a vaccine getting approved (early stages). We cannot pretend all will be well if this continues that’s fools gold. I do agree anyone sick in months from now will get better treatment. But first we have to build back our economy so the healthy have something to come back to.

I get that the worst victims of this are the elderly. However, the location of the overall cases and the most severe restrictions tend to be in Democratic areas. Accordingly, it wouldn't shock me to hear that Republicans have less fear of this and think we're overreacting at least to a point. It's anecdotal, but most Republicans I know think we are at least somewhat. Most Democrats I know are pissing their pants that we haven't invoked Order 66.

Two things that Dems haven’t comprehended in their panic: 1) most people are going to get the virus before a vaccine is ready, so the point of quarantine is to flatten the curve, not reduce the area under the curve (as if your typical Dem knows integrals), and 2) I read that half of the deaths were likely to happen in the next 6 months anyway.
