Controversial opinions

Malcolm "Mal" Evans, the "6th Beatle", deserves much more recognition for his contributions to the success of the band.

He was killed by the LAPD in a tragic accident.

English cuisine is actually pretty good. It's the Scandinavian food that sucks. (Danish cheeses excepted)

And if you say you hate English food, you'd better not like cheddar cheese or chicken pot pies...
 
Sorry, Chop, but Billy Preston from Houston's Third Ward was the fifth Beatle, also the owner of the world's most perfect afro.

I said 6th Beatle.

Both Billy Preston and Mal Evans are shown frequently and at length in the "Let it Be" miniseries--consisting of live/candid recordings of the Beatles composing, arguing, making music for the Let it Be album.

Proper ramen does not come with a flavor packet and typically costs more than 3 cents

Confession: When I was 14, I bought and wore an Aggy jersey. I visited Collie Station in High School as part of our ROTC program. I realized "Hell No, I will not go" and my life turned around.

Not a controversial opinion on this board, but I felt the need to confess. Forgive me Brothers and Sisters. I was a teenager at the time.

Thank you LC. I have sinned and I repent. I will not repeat that sin. I think the pebble is a little much for something that happened almost 50 years ago. However, I will vote for you for Pope. I am a Methodist, but I did go to grad school at The University of Dallas, a Catholic school.

Little known fact: More Grad students than Undergrads at UD.

These are Akira's Rules for his restaurant. My controversial opinion, is that restaurant dining would be better if more places adopted similar rules--because the cretins have taken over the casual, and even the fine, dining spaces:
  1. Please keep your party to no more than 4 people. We will not accept parties greater than 4 people.

  2. Please order a reasonable amount of food as long as you are seated. (We have had people in the past where 4 people shared 1 bowl of ramen. We provide food and service, not space).

  3. We do not accept reservations or questions on social media.

  4. In order to maintain the best atmosphere for our customers, please refrain from using your speakerphone in the restaurant. (If there is an emergency, please use low volume or speak outside).

  5. We do not accept food orders outside of restaurant hours.

  6. If your child is running around or crying in the restaurant, it is in best interest for everyone for you to take care of your child/children. (Running around or entering the kitchen is dangerous. We understand that children may cry. It is also best for them if you listened to their cries.

  7. There is a sign at the front of the restaurant that states, “Please wait to be seated.” There are situations where customers are waiting in their cars, or where we need time to set up the tables. Please wait at the front of the sign until someone comes to help you. (We have had customers who did not follow our directions and seated themselves. Unfortunately, we may have to ask you to leave in those situations)

No new house should be permitted in a 500 year flood plain unless it's on stilts or otherwise elevated at least 10 feet.
 
The US should annex Alberta, BC, Yukon, NW Territories, Sask, Manitoba. Maybe also the sea provinces. Encourage Quebec independence. Canada will consist of Ontario alone.
