Commericalization of 'green'

I just spent a couple of days with my bro' in law who sells boxes for packing veggies and fruit. You know those trays that fruit comes in at Costco? That's him...well that's him in California, I don't know about Texas. Anyhow, he says that most "organic" growers he deals with sell multiple times more product than is possible to grow on the amount of land they work. Yes, they sell organic product, but they also buy from other growers and run it through their farm, thereby the customer is buying from an organic farmer, but the source, for much/most of the product, is not that organic farm.

Warren Buffet on CNBC this morning and they basically asked about investing in enviro safe stuff and he said that he likes it when people has good ideas but unless he can understand what they do he wants no part of it. I kind of agree with this line of thinking. I want to help change the world and make things more safe but until it is economically feasible then it's kind of just a pipe dream. That doesn't mean we shouldn't explore new technologies and potential remedies but that should be done with different kind of dollars than those looking to satisfy investor returns.
