Colt McCoy's Numbers Thru 2 Games ...

You know, it's interesting that people point to the KSU game last year as evidence that the backup needs to play. And yet in that game, Snead came in with practically no in-game experience and played more than well enough to win. QB play wasn't the issue in that loss, and as it turned out, Snead didn't suffer from significant lack of playing time.

Chiles can benefit from some plays in game, for certain, but most of his improvements are going to come in practice and scrimmage situations. If he can't do it in practice, he's not going to magically figure it out just because it's a live game situation.

Let's be frank here - does anyone think that Chiles throwing two or three mop-up passes in a blowout is really going to make a huge difference? Again, not saying it isn't a help, but ultimately, if Chiles were to come in and not play well as a backup, I don't think the reason would be because he didn't get to throw four passes in a 30-point win over UTEP.
