He's still alive?IS THERE SOMETHING FUNNY I SHOULD KNOW ABOUT?!?!?!?!?!
Seriously, if they brought back Mark Mangino, in a few years they'd be stomping everyone in this conference not named OU or UT, and they'd be giving OU and UT a run for the conference title every year. He's done it before with horrendously bad talent.

And he was named coach of the year.Mangino was the best thing to come along to KU football in 50 years. He had 'em going that year they went 12-1.
As long as we have Baylor, I would be very careful to throw any stones. For what it is worth, I always thought the Briles scandal was nothing when compared to the Bliss scandal.SEC SEC SEC
It is so beyond the pale. Just absolute corruption but it's always in the past. They've always moved on and fixed things. NOBODY acknowledges the disease of corruption exists TODAY.
Husch Blackwell Report Describes Disturbing Culture of Sex Discrimination at LSU

Did I nail it? Maybe so.Tom Herman is available...
Exactly.I think Herman would work pretty well at KU. I've always felt that he needed to take over a fledgling Power-5 program instead of a blue blood. If he turned KU around to a .500 team instead of stuck in that 3-9 quagmire, it'd be quite the check mark on a resume. Keeping a program like ours at the 8-4 level isn't as big a deal.
"While Herman’s tenure didn’t work out at Texas, he’s due for another chance to be a head coach in college football."
This is their reasoning why he should be a candidate? He is due for another chance? He might be a pretty good choice for a program like Kansas, but I certainly wouldn't have started my argument by saying "he's due". He just got fired a couple months ago.
Define "turn Kansas around". If you mean consistent 8-3 or better seasons then I agree. But to me turning Kansas football around is achieved by consistently getting to .500 records. I think Herman can manage that.No way Herman can turn Kansas around. In fairness though, only 2-3 coaches could.
That's a tough read. Hard to believe that it is not rampant throughout college football and basketball. Why did LSU allow Les Miles to carry on? 'We're protecting our brand'
Let's just say it. LSU is completely corrupt and devoid of morals because football is all that matters. The fans are a joke. The administration is pathologically ambitious. The coaches pretend to not know but they know. The players WANT THOSE GIRLS AROUND AND YES, THEY WANT BLONDES WITH BIG BOOBS. Miles was part of the machine.
They say, don't hate the player, hate the game.
NOPE.
The player is the game. If you engage, then you are the game.

I would say that Jess has a beautiful mouth but that might be a little too crass so I will say she has a beautiful smile.
Hell, maybe some civil rights activists want him to be rehired because they liked how he handled the turmoil of last year. Who knows...
Yeah. The way he badmouthed us as fans saying we don't have their backs or some such was ridiculous. As I said then, we don't have unfettered access to the players while they are still part of the team. That could cause all sorts of issues with the NCAA. Post graduation is different. Tom's handling of the protests during the spring was not what many expected from a HC. He also kowtowed to the players, instead of reminding them that they were here at one of the best universities in the country for free, to play a game they love. I can overlook some of the stuff the player said and or did because they are 18 to 21 years olds, and have yet to learn some decorum regarding such issues, but not the way Tom threw gasoline on the fire.
The picture of Sam, standing alone, horns up and singing "The Eyes" after a loss while the other players were laughing and having fun in the tunnel will probably never go away from my mind, and that situation was created by and is on Tom. But even before that, overall, his whole demeanor was to some extent, mostly arrogant and even combative with the donors and fans. But, he's gone, goodbye, good riddance, and please don't feel the need to come back for visit...ever!
That's my 2 cents worth, or maybe a dollar's worth now due to inflation.
