Coach Stephen Ambrose Sarkisian.......Staff

So it will take some $$ to separate them. (Campbell and Heacock). Last week, I advocated Heacock as someone to look at. I still think his sustained good (though not necessarily great) performance in this league with 2 and 3 star talent merits a look. Defending in the Big 12 is more difficult than defending in the SEC or Big 10.

I suspect Heacock would make a solid, if not spectacular, hire. Did I mention how hard it is to defend in this league?

OK, now I’ve caught up on the last 20 pages of this thread. I too share some posters’ apprehension on the lack of confirmed news on a DC hire but I trust in Coach Sark so we’ll have to wait and see. I’m really excited about the other assistant hires even taking into account the stripper Twitter account...:fire:

In other news did anyone else notice that @horninchicago and @moondog_LFZ both posted Seinfeld clips? Sounds like we could get them into the same room and laughing together with Seinfeld streaming on a large TV in the post-game afterglow from a big Horns 2021 win. :beertoast:
Haha, I always feel like I could and would get along and find common ground with virtually every member here.

So many good coaches with that Youngstown connection. It's kinda crazy

Some Inside Texas commentary on the various offensive rooms and the new/old coaches for those rooms

" .... Stan Drayton‘s return calmed the running back room, which rubber-stamped Bijan Robinson’s happiness and Roschon Johnson’s growing leadership. Jonathon Brooks told IT he’s thrilled with Drayton remaining. There’s still a good chance Texas adds another running back to the 2021 class, whether it’s LJ Johnson or even potentially Camar Wheaton.

Coleman’s retention pleases a group of talented receivers who want to continue learning and improving. His work with Joshua Moore was solid and Jake Smith and Marcus Washington have a new lease on life. Many in the program are excited to see the growth of Kelvontay Dixon with actual spring ball. There are a lot of receiving parts in place for this offense. Whittington receiving the ball with a full head of steam? Yeah, he’s excited. Coleman has a really good relationship with his group. These guys are going to have to block.

Tight ends are noticeably fired up after Jeff Banks hit campus. Jared Wiley was injured late in 2020, so he’ll need to nurse his shoulder back to health. Gunnar Helm just arrived, as did Juan Davis. We’re going to be monitoring what position Davis begins his career. There are a lot of tight ends on the roster with one more set to arrive in June ...."

The TE's better be fired up with all the pole dancers Banks could be bringing in. They won't have to go to the Yellow Rose anymore.

Pruitt is trying to hold on at Tenn, went to Calif to try and hold his top recruit.
If so, then it seems unlikely he will be available, but its hard to get a clear picture if what is really happening there

SEC boards saying a bomb is about to drop on Tennessee

After working for the Haslams & Phat Phil, I'm not sure there's enough disinfectant in the State of Texas to get the stench off him

Which makes Tenn sound a lot like aggy

Phat Phil made the Vols professionals in keeping players out of jail, and he brought cheating to new heights with significant revolutionary twists.

The Aggies were professionals in the old school world of cheating, but kinda late to the game with airline tickets, etc.
