Chance of Football in 2020

These players are more concerned with the Marxist BLM movement than they are with getting ready for football.

To be fair we were a couple loss team even before that. We don't need a wokester movement to make us soft and entitled because we've already been that way for years.

Didn't want to start a new thread as this is somewhat related.
Question.
Did Dave Campbell's Texas Football get taken over or purchased by an Aggie? I seem to recall seeing this somewhere a few years ago as an explanation for some odd writing/predictions.
1. This year's edition has Shane Beuchele as the best college QB in TX. Most everyone else in America has SE as the 3rd best QB in the country after Fields and Lawrence. Also, there's a reason Beuchele is @ SMU. I wonder what that is???
2. Aggie is ranked 8th, 2nd in the SEC West; Texas is 18th, 3rd in the Big 12. Sure, I don't want or expect brown-nosing for my alma mater... it's just that the reasoning is odd and doesn't align with other parts of the mag. For example, (and related to #1), SE is named as the best offensive college player in TX by the 13 sportswriters polled. I believe he got 9 of the 13 votes. Ossai and Sterns got something like 12 of the 13 sportswriter votes for defense. I know there's more to a team than the top couple of players on each side of the ball, yet, Aggie and TX seem to be very similar talent-wise with the exception being the elite players on each team.
Just overall weird analysis.

All this is probably moot, but I've been a seasonal purchaser of several FB mags every years since about '88.

I stopped buying that rag several yeas ago after reading it since the ‘60s. They have been fence straggling, everybody gets a trophy writers for much too long. It’s like they want to make all of the Mommas happy. The epitome of political correctness.

Campbell's recruiting review had our last 5 year bowl record at 2-1. I wonder which bowl he thought we lost the last five years.

If deaths start trending down again by August 1, should we cancel the season? I think not.

If we’re not closing businesses we should‘nt cancel CFB season. I’m not referring to exact schedule or crowd size. It may have to delay longer. We shall see.

I'm not really a fan of Bill Maher but he's been quoted saying "what's the point of being alive if you can't live life". My answer is there isn't one.

"The National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) has announced in a statement that all close-contact fall sports – which includes football – will move to the spring semester.

In addition to football, this move also impacts men’s and women’s soccer and volleyball.

The NJCAA says that all winter sports competition will begin in January with a majority of championship seasons moved from March to April. Spring sports competition remains intact with minor adjustments to dates."

"Hi, I'm Coach Krichee-Whichee, and I am the winningest basketball coach in NCAA history. Part of my job is motivational speaking, getting the players fired up for the game and, getting them to sign on the dotted line. If I have to get up here and preach that Black Lives Matter and want everyone to say it every day, I've got a pretty good chance of raking in the future NBA talent this next year"..............

Yesterday they canceled pro Surfing! No way that anyone can figure out the logistics of a contact sport much less the travel issues, faculty complaints, local and state lock downs, the list is endless. Election year politics will make a sensible discussion impossible.

We are so off in the weeds common sense is no where to be found. Based on what we know do you want to play? Do you want to watch the game? Do you want to drink beer in a public place? Can we do these things with a reasonable degree of safety?

It would be unprecedented and terribly disappointing to us all, but I'm beginning to think there will be no football this fall. The virus seems to be spiking in Texas and elsewhere.

I take the DMN paper on Sundays. Long and interesting article about what scientists and health experts are slowly learning about 'Superspreading' events for the virus. Also some interesting theories on 10 -20% of those positive without symptoms being responsible for spreading it to approx. 80% of those testing positive for the cases in the U.S.

So there is my negative take on it today.

As it stands right now every Saturday in September would be literally dozens of super spreader events all across the country or at least all across the southern US and every Friday night in Texas may well be several super spreaders too. Why is this even a debate? I love football, my Saturdays this fall are going to suck without it, but for crying out loud how is this even still a debate?

I don't think the current discussion counts as a debate because we can't even agree on what this issues are and much less "prioritize" them. Personally, I believe our lives will be changed forever, with or without our participation. Even a miracle vaccination won't matter because many will refuse to be vaccinated.

By Sept 1, we will be close to herd immunity. Only takes 20% infected due to cross immunity. Look at Sweden, NY, NJ, MA, etc. There is no second wave. Once it spikes and goes down, it doesn’t return.

What is their theory why there are so many cases in warm humid weather like in Brazil, India, and southern US? What is their theory why cases are surging in CA but essentially stopped in NY?

I will tell you why: they don’t know ****!

Question. Do these test kits tell the difference between all Corona viruses because a common cold is a type of Corona virus right? We are using untested probable cases for over 2/3 of these new cases and I would bet these positive cases are other types of Corona viruses. Not Covid 19. Just asking, Dr’s have claimed what I’m saying. False positives are extremely common.

Considering who Turner, Jackson-Lee and Dora the Explorer have had doing the testing, your question could easily receive a positive answer.

One more week of the hysteria in Texas and US. It will be falling cases between now and forever. CA, NC, and GA still are 2 weeks away from falling (surge started later). Why do you think the market is up if they believed a second wave was to occur in the Fall? Why do you think you are not hearing this in the media?
