Celebrity Jerks I Have Met

Met Bill Nye, the science guy, at the Seattle space needle with my daughter. We watched his show all the time. He was the biggest a-hole of all time. My daughter even cried in disbelief. I thought about punching him, and I have never hit anyone in my life. On the other hand, I met Gillian Anderson and she was as sweet a human being as I have ever met.

this would have been better if it was celebrity jerks you have punched and the story actually included you punching the science guy for making you daughter cry. that would have been sweet. you could have asked him to explain the physics of getting punched in the face

when i was a valet alan thicke stiffed me. barry switzer as well.

i helped trent reznor with all his bags. he didn't give me anything but his bus manager guy gave me 10 bucks and a nine inch nails tshirt.

Opposite of what you asked for, but met Peter Berg (director FNL among other things) and the dude could not have been any cooler. Huge UT fan.

He was the biggest a-hole of all time.

So what did Mr. Science guy do? Put down creationism? Deny global warming?

But seriously, what transpired?

Who are the other jerks you've met? You used the plural in the thread title, I expected a list of some sort.

As for me I've never really ran into any celebs that have treated me like crap, despite many of them having a rep for being ********... For example Lance did a Q&A thing once for this group my wife is a member of (Texas 4000) and she said he was pretty nice, and even stuck around to eae dinner with all of them after the Q&A. I've also met Adam Vinatieri and he was pretty cool (I just know a handful of Colt fans that think he's an *******, but haven't actually met him). And I met Robby Gordon once when I was drunk and took a picture with him. He could have been a huge ******* to me since I was pretty drunk and interrupting a conversation he was having, but he was nice and took the picture.

I've also met Travis Pastrana (pre-double backflip) and he was/is the nicest most down to earth celeb I've ever met. Second place goes to Jose Cruz who I met when I was a lot younger and his son played little league at the same fields I did.

Word is that lance is a real dick head..I know a lot of bar managers down town and it's the same story every time: he never tips..ever.

I spent the past year working with athletes and they were all very nice...especially the one who's Super Bowl ring I dropped. I wont name names...

For example Lance did a Q&A thing once for this group my wife is a member of (Texas 4000) and she said he was pretty nice, and even stuck around to eae dinner with all of them after the Q&A.

So Lance stayed around for a free meal. Was he hitting on some of the women?

Ed Too Tall Jones.
Not very nice.

Nice: Martin Sheen (really generous and friendly, not at all douchey like you might think)

Kathy Bates (very cool)

Emilio Estevez (decent)

Terry Malick (the director, really nice, unassuming guy)

Christopher Lloyd (actually, not sure if he's nice but he's a total stoner)

The others are probably too z-list to mention

Lance is a ******** cause he's an adulterer who rode out on his wife and 3 small kids. And he's from Plano.

Don't keep us waiting. What part shouldn't he be sure about?

i heard she's the one who crossed the line and that's why they divorced.

You're sure about this, right?

What's good for the goose is good for the gander.

Ran into Mr. Bongo at Speakeasy once. He was pretty funny. He also had half ot the UT Pom squad in tow.
P.I.M.P.

Not to pick nits, but all the poster said was that Lance "rode out". That is independent of fault. Ms. Armstrong could very well have turned to the arms of another man with Lance being away so often and her being alone and needing human companionship.

Or maybe you think he's not from Plano? j/k.

I talked with Lance one time at a McDonalds playground. He was there with the wife and kids and I was there with my little one. I was a tool and struck up conversation about him. He was cool as could be - we talked about him coming back out for one of the home games (where he was one the field for some reason). He was excited and hoped to get the chance to come out - came across as a big Longhorn fan.

I worked with Mike Anderson's wife in the years prior to the much publicized wrongful termination/accusation/termination. (I.E. after the divorce and while Mike was still in his employ).

So, no, I don't know. But I know. Ya know?

This is completely opposite of what the thread is looking for, but I ate dinner with Kevin Bass and he was a really nice guy.

He is the most famous person I have ever had a conversation with. Obviously I don't get out much.

George Brett is a complete *******.
Met Coach Royal outside the stadium the last home game of the year and he was really nice.
I worked for Luke and Murphy Jensen for awhile (the Bevis and Butthead of tennis). Luke was always really, really nice to fans but kind of a jerk otherwise. Murph was always a great guy.
Met Jimmy Buffett, he was super nice.
Met Sir Richard Harris, he was awsome. Very friendly.
Jim Palmer (HOF pitcher) is also really cool.

Met Russell Crowe at Magnolia Cafe on S Congress some years ago, back when he was hangin out and playing at Stubbs. We told him we liked Romper Stomper, and my friend asked him for an autograph but didn't have a pen. So he called him and "egghead"...Hmph..at least he didn't hit him with a phone!
