Caribbean medical schools..

I practice in a twelve member internal medicine group in North Texas. One guy is grom Guadalajara, one from Nevis, one from Grenada. They are outstanding physicians and good partners. All of our cardiologists are FMG's-Brazil,India, and Pakistan. Both of our oncologists are FMG's. One surgeon went to school in the Phillipines-the other went to Harvard med. Pass your licensure exams, find a residency, pass your boards-you will do fine. Medicine is no place for xenophobia.

I was a prosector following my freshman year at Southwestern, so I used to know a little anatomy. As an internist, though-seems to be slipping a little after thirty years. A fat-assed German still sits on Olympia's towering top, but the rest of it is a litle hazy now. I keep a Grant's and a Netter's in my office, but I bet I don' trefer to them more than once a year. With regard to phyiscal examination, it is stil the rose in the bouquet of medicine. I would disagree, however,
that a thorough and accurate physical exam removes the necessity of advanced technology. Rather, high priced and unbelievably accurate imaging techniques complement a thorough and well-directed history and physical. Anyone who thinks they can diagnose and treat any and all comers without appropriate testing would not be welcome in my group.
