Breyer retirement

Here's the current and future Supreme Court justices confirmed with vote numbers from opposite party (of President):

  • Jackson - 3 Republicans
  • Barrett - 0 Democrats
  • Kavanaugh - 1 Democrat
  • Gorsuch - 3 Democrats
  • Kagan - 5 Republicans
  • Sotomayor - 9 Republicans
  • Alito - 4 Democrats
  • Roberts - 22 Democrats
  • Breyer - 33 Republicans
  • Thomas - 11 Democrats
Both have gotten worse at crossing the aisle, but Democrats "win" in absolutes: 22 max vs 33 max, down to 1 or 0 vs down 3 or 5.

And of course, in 1993 Ruth Bader Ginsburg got about 40 Republican votes. Only three members voted against her. Even David Souter got more No votes than she did - all from Democrats.

The next fun step would be how many nays from the same party. Jackson was 0 Democrats nay. Barrett was 1 Republican nay in Susan Collins (girl power, huh?).

What an ash clown.

Yep. He's proving what a partisan hack he is, and this is how Democrats lose their credibility and moral authority when they start whining about the "rule of law," "norms," and "civility." That's just sanctimonious rhetoric they toss around when it's convenient and disregard when it's not.
