Hoping that was a game that gets us over the hump against tournament teams. It really looked like this team was buckling under pressure, but they held on just long enough. That FT performance likely won't repeat itself, and it really does look like they're making improvements. Just got to put it together for a full game!

Mitchell has been off for several games.
Fortunately, Timmy Allen is taking control.
And, Timmy is a very good ball handler—a “point forward.”

A true point guard (or two) should be on our recruiting and portal wish list.
 
Great win and really needed. I am no longer worred about tourny after last 2 games. This is how you beat Tennesee. If you don't remember, Barnes teams are not an easy win.

Allen had 3 assists and 4 TOs.

We have not had a true PG since Barns, Coleman was not a true point, he was more of a combo.

I pooped this because we have a great defense and no team is going to score “100 plus” on us. We are likely to lose or split with ttu and bu, yes, but if we lose both our games to each of them it will be because our offense and ball handling is inconsistent, erratic and undependable.
It’s possible we don’t score over 55 in any of our games with bu and ttu.

I was exaggerating on the 100. It’s just so frustrating to me because I see the potential this team has, and to watch us collapse and consistently go into slumps where we look absolutely pathetic, just kills me. I guess I’m just not patient enough with this team.
 
Had you said you don't see how we score over 50 against Tech or BU, you probably wouldn't have been excremented.

Your frustration has to come from our inconsistent offense, not from our extremely potent defense.
