Big 12 tournament

OU 25 OSU 22 after an OSU leads to an OU basket seconds before the end of the half. Instead of possibly leading, OSU is down three. OU's Little doing a great job defending OSU's Martin, the Big 12 POY.

Refs a bit all over, sometimes calling fouls, sometimes letting them play. OSU with only two FGs in the third quarter as OU take a double digit lead into the start of the fourth, 42-32. Martin and Jensen for OSU have been held in check while OU's posts have been feasting inside.

sounds like we lost the audio feed from the game.
thought my hearing aid had gone on the blink. :smile1:

Well I'm glad it's Baylor meeting the Sooners tomorrow and not us. As for today, we really got lucky to have Kansas as our game. We just need to play smart against a team that gave us no trouble at all during regular season. Hopefully we get to go into tomorrow's game not too banged up. Go Horns.

BU advances to meet OU tomorrow with an 82-51 win over Tech. Tech couldn't stay with BU in the second half, way too many and too long cold spells.

Not happy at all with Tasia's last two plays and way too much time left on the shot clock for what she's trying to do

Imani had 4 points... Against Kansas... In the B12 tourney.... The 10th seed. Girl needs to get over whatever it is that has gotten her down.

The only good thing is that we rested Imani and Kelsey. Rested Empress quite a bit, as well; really wondering is she's nicked up.

Good solid win. Not the blowout expected but KU has really shown improvement towards the end of the season as TCU found out.

Nice to see Jordan and LaShann get so much playing time. Everyone got in. Like everyone else, I wonder why Imani did not play after going out in the 3rd. Sara did have some nice minutes, though.

Need one more win to get the finals and a probable matchup with BU.

i dont know who scares me more west virginia or kansas state? both have very good teams and both almost had us beat.
Our team scares me more than West Virginia or Kansas State......not a pretty win....horrible play from our posts (total of 2 baskets...1 from Lang....1 from Imari)....and 21 turnovers.....
We had 7 turnovers in the 1st quarter alone!!!
In the K.State vs West Virginia game, BOTH of those teams had a COMBINED TOTAL of 14 turnovers well-into the 3rd quarter. Shocking that we can't seem to comprehend how important each possession is.
But a win is a win is a win. And we won by 16....seemed closer. #2 seed vs #10 seed....guess we had no motivation to play better.

The announcers sure seemed shocked at how poorly our team looked. Maybe we can make things click tomorrow afternoon against WV and get back to a level of play we're capable of.

I noticed the Baylor team sitting in the stands...smirking as they watched our game. Guess they were trying to figure out if they could beat us by 40 if we happen to meet up again. If we're lucky enough to beat WV tomorrow, perhaps the Bears will be so overconfident that we sneak up on them.

But we've got to play a really good game tomorrow to even get another chance a Baylor.
As a previous poster said, at least we rested our posts (or they rested themselves....lol), so they should be pretty fresh for tomorrow's game.

I agree that we have not been playing well lately. We can't continue to get off to slow starts and pull out a victory. Celina, Jordan and Lashann were the reasons we pulled out a win last night (imo). Ariel needs to (1) take more shots and (2) stay out of foul trouble. She could be the best player on the team and if she was more of a focal points of the offense. Additionally, Brooke can take more shots if other teams are having to account for Ariel. Hopefully, we'll get out of our funk and start playing to our potential.

OU down big to BU at the half, 47-28. BU's Jones (14 pts) and Davis (10 pts) doing the heavy lifting for BU in the first half. OU has no one in double digits. OU's FG% matches their pts, 28.1% while BU is at 66.7% with Wallace and Prince each at 2-2 from the field and 1-1 from BTA. OU's one advantage is getting to the FT line, 12 attempts to 5 for BU but they are not taking advantage there either, making only 58.3% (7-12).

Alexis Jones with 14 points and 9 assist at the half. I remember her almost playing 5 on 1 against Duncanville in the regional final a while back and scoring 40 and almost winning the game. She is honestly the reason I got into girls basketball for that performance. I wanted her so badly to come to Texas after she opened her options from Duke. Shes gonna dominate at the next level.
